well no point selling now, my average is roughly 13.5 anyway so not too bad, may add if it dips more over the coming days/weeks

I still think that in 2019 Gold will soar, as a stock market crash will be on the cards

Recovery in 12 months - if no more mess ups. Short term who knows. What I think is expletives. They better be careful with this Zim purchases n not overpay, rather they walk away n focus on running current operations better. £&@*#%€?!$¥

Yes NTV clearly a leak beforehand. Reflects very poorly on the market yet again.

i assume the cautionary RNS is an SA listing requirement?

Elikhulu is ahead of schedule. No update on the ASA deal. The bizarre cautionary RNS seems even more so now.

Poor. Problem seems to be with lots of mining companies is they promise but then don't deliver. Won't be buying anymore.

Well we know why the share price was not responding now! That's my love affair over for Paf. Best of luck all

Ignore the moves, this will soar at some point, well managed and gold will embark on a strong bull market soon, to reach $5000 by the end of the next crisis, which is round the corner ... when they are trumpeting the world economy is the time to take cover.

I see this at 50p plus next year and £1 if there is a crisis. People have forgotten how fast panic sets in.

pazzuzu I have found over the past decade that the market is irrational to a huge extent. Fundamentals like P/E and dividend yield and cover do not matter to the hedge funds/institutions. This is why you can have shares like Abcam, BTG, Hutchison on P/E's up to 100. Foodies like Just Eat, Dominos, SSPG trade on P/E's up to 40. Again the market does not care that they are way over-valued. Merlin and Reckitt traded on P/E's of 30+ for years but the market is only now waking up to this. In all honesty the stock market is hugely corrupt and manipulated towards the big city boys but every now and then PI's will get lucky.

Quality utilities like SSE, Centrica, National Grid are trading on P/E's closer to 10 yet the market thinks they are not cheap enough. Saga a P/E of just 8. Shire a P/E of just 8.5.

Highlights my point.

Sylvania Platinum was stuck at 9p a few months ago. Hit 15p a few days ago.
PAF sold their platinum operations to them recently.

I believe the placing was at 14p last year also.
Elikhulu + ASA Gold = at least a 50% increase in production so nearer 300,000oz

That puts this on a P/E of about 6 so no bizarre why share price not responding.

I just don't know what to make of it. Personally I think reading more about cautionary announcements the implications is a fund raise if they go ahead. But then I'm torn because they say any deal will have a significant impact on the sp, so what dies that mean, Surely up wouldn't it? I mean why would what would be a savy acquisition of parts of aca not add value to the sp? What would be the point on the whole thing if it was at a detriment to the company's valuation. Anyway in rambling, dont know what to do with this, I want add but that rns just won't let me for now.

Bought a decent chunk here, near 52 week lows with 2018 expected to be a much better year operationally. ASA deal at the prices being touted would be a game changer.

does anyone on here know how serious this talk of taking out ASA is? I have had PAF in the past - got out a while I ago and have been watching on the sidelines ever since. I am also ( unfortunately an ASA holder ). When I saw the RNS, I thought...hmmm.....somebody who knows how to run a company is looking at buying a company that has been ( do not quote me on this ) run into the ground by a bunch of..............

Is this ( a possible buy-out of ASA ) potentially the reason for the recent decline in the share price?

Yes a vague and strange RNS. Caution not to sell or not to buy? ASA assets worth $200M+ but market cap at close only $35M. PAF could DOUBLE in size.

I guess all the caution parts are down to nothing coming from negotiations so as not to get hopes up.

What a weird RNS, It reads like everyone should take care not to invest too much into our stock, yet the actual news can only be good, no? The only negative I can see is a possible share issue if they want to fund it that way, they have what, £35m in short term assets?

This could re-rate upwards very quickly (16p-18p near term; 24p medium term) if/when a deal is announced. Surprised there have not been a flurry a buys this morning.

Great timing, markets will be melting down when production here and gold prices will be melting-up. £1 share price in 2019 is a real possibility, however crazy it sounds now.
