I have a sneaky suspicion we'll hit over Mondays intraday trade high as momentum builds and surely 5p is on the cards soon pre-RNS.

how do you know it was unwarranted?

not really worth posting on these threads anymore, anything positive seems to be effecting some people...
ps-not like the daily posts are really going to have any overall impact :)

For what it's worth the OXS Ichimoku chart is still Strongly Bullish and has been for all of October.

Hi dave. Yes seen what you are talking about. Haven't seen it before because I go straight into GS's thread (not being a blue I'd soon be timed out of the quotes page for OXS when the Mkt is open). I've just rated OXS a buy! Now 23 rate it a buy!

...Just think the government saying..ok Tesco we are taking ownership of all your stores and commensurate profits for the next 5 years and it makes it a bit more tangible.

if you just back out of this page and before logging back into GS thread - on the right hand side is user buy/sell rating

Hi, dave444. I don't doubt your information, but I can't see "This thread - look at the amount of buy rating v sell rating!"

I posted previously about this because i think it is interesting that there does not appear to be institutional selling and i did not want my selling to be construed as the beginning of Rab or Trident ( whoever they are ) off loading.

This thread - look at the amount of buy rating v sell rating!
Time scale last few days!
These are posters opinions of whether a share is a buy or a sell - signifies change in stance!

I did indeed - entirely to do with my personal financial position and judgement about risk and reward. I continue to hold 2.5 million shares. I expect we will win and I think the award will be substantial and i also expect the share price to be many multiples of the present. I doubt the higher figures are very likely - an award between 200 and 400 million is where i think it will fall.

Hi, dave. Over what time scale is that shift in selling, dave? Could the share price rise in October be a reason? Where are you getting your statistics from? Sites like advfn, lse, iii, often get it wrong as regards the number of buys and sells. They are only guessing based on price.

Hi Pap - that is possibly part of the equation - but would not explain the shift in sell rating from 1 to 11

Some are certainly wanting the price lower! - it maybe they have sold on the jump and want to buy back in - as the buy/sell rating on this site has gone up to 20/11 from something like 20/1.

Perhaps those with very large OXS shareholdings are partially de-risking, and/or taking some profits, dave444. Don't forget I remember a regular poster (pug151) recently saying that he had reduced his holding.

I wouldn't read too much into those 100k sells -that was me - i decided some time ago that i wanted £100k at stake and no more - the sells were an adjustment.

Dave, no arguments from me that my research could be improved. I had seen the 70% mentioned on the boards, but not in RNS' or anything from Calunius. I just plain didn't know where the number came from. They are however doing this on a no win no fee basis and risking millions - they're probably a little better at researching than me, so if they think it worth the risk, then I'll take that as further determination.

Dave? Nice try for what?
I don't think I posted anything that can be considered a ramp or deramp. Just my observations, or do you mean nice try in trying to make money from Afren?

Edit: GS - thanks for the link.

Can I just be the first to say, as a relative newbie here of just over a year, if it proves to be good or better than good news in the coming week, or indeed month, that it has been an absolute pleasure reading many, many informative posts from many well researched individuals. Good luck to one and all, our bod and all that have aided and supported the company over the years. Thank you for a spellbinding journey. As always regards M.

Glibgibon, usually not around for the weekend chat, however for those that
have not discussed all aspects of this journey, a reminder of the 70%

"
In the UK, far from taking a gung-ho approach to litigation, funders are remarkably cautious, and in fact most will not touch a case unless it has a 70% prospect of success.
"

One speculates Calunius don't do binary and prefer better odds as per 70%

According to the Calunius website, their track record is not in the public domain.

While hopeful of a positive result, any further investment from me will need to come from profits from other shares first. Considering my portfolio, that may be a while yet. Temm isn't the only one who took a punt on AFR.

I have read that there are 4 distinct cases involved here so if the results are all to be announced at the same time, I can see why defining a deadline would be tricky. Also, it is my understanding that the Uzbeks have never lost a case (opting to settle instead - though no idea of how many times).

I'm not sure where the figure of 70% originated with regards Calunius' determination of a successful win here, but it is clear that they are in the same boat as shareholders - if they lose, they will lose all the money spent on litigation. If they win, it will be in multiples of their investment. I'll take that kind of declaration as something to be confident in.

Fingers crossed for a VERY Merry Christmas.
