Never fails to amaze me how the inv board dimwits are so easily parted with their money, a never ending stream of newbie "investors" to throw away their hard earned cash. Do some research on the huge number of scams across the minnow markets. Langbar was high profile, what about Crnd recently I could list scores of them. This one takes the biscuit for absurdity though, are you guys the same people that fall for the lottery scams saying you've won a million, just send us £500 first. Jeez

Duffloser,

The list of threads you've started I think most would be more confident going with Calunius than you.

Nick2412 - a more in depth assessment than mine which was a little tongue in cheek, however in my view Calinius are just one firm, a small one at that, which probably had no more than a handful of specialists review the case and give a 30% chance of losing (Albeit before jurisdiction was confirmed), so I agree 'chances' are better overall. However, just because that number exists does not mean we can rely on it, that it is true, or likely to be true or that anyone should use it as a likely barometer of success and assume the outcome is 90% likely to be positive - if it were, we'd be trading 15p+ IMO.

I am a holder, but under no illusion that the outcome may not go in our favor.

Being picky about the wording but didn't RS say "extremely confident" a year ago and now it's plain old "confident"?

Anyway, I'm in for quite a few k so crossing all digits for a quick win and believe the risk/reward profile is worth a gamble.

Given the delay and as others have said, I feel it's about the quantum and not the win or loss anymore.

Let's just hope it's not a quantum of solace after seeing off the Spectre of RAB and that we will all meet in the Casino Royale once we win:-)

Sorry....got carried away with the Bond market...hope my
Sky doesn't fall in:-)

Dusseldorf - I see where you are coming from but I'm not sure the coin analogy quite works.

I think a die or let's say dice works better although it's not perfect. My view is that the chance of complete investment loss is closer to around 10% rather than 50%.

Reasons :- Calunius and their lawyers would have assessed the chance of loss at around 30% or lower when agreeing to take on the case but that was before OXS won the jurisdiction battle.

There is also Tim Hart's submission on a claim valuation post hearing which might suggest that post hearing it became all about quantum. Additionally, there are two main strands to the claim so, theoretically, there are two bites at the cherry, OXS could win on Khandiza and lose AGF or vice versa.

Finally, the duration since the final hearing might suggest that the complexities relating to valuation of the amount due is the reason for the delay. Arguably if there was no merit in OXS's claim we would have heard much earlier. So using the dice analogy ...

2 Loss and no funds to pay loan notes let alone shareholders

3 Approx $100m award

... etc.

11 Approx $1.2 billion

12 ... double six ... over and above the public domain but somewhat historic maximum DCF claim!

Not without risk for sure but 50 / 50 (toss of a coin) isn't an accurate reflection of the odds for success in my view.

Grantlfc - Flip a coin, heads you win 300-1200%, tails you lose 98%. Welcome to OXS. The coin flip is any day now, literally. Arbitration outcome will establish validity of claim and if valid indicated valuation of award against Uzbekistan. Likelihood is company claim will be sold almost immediately to highest bidder for a 75% value of award (IMO)

I simply couldn't understand why deanroberthunt was here typing such nonsense so went and checked.

just a quick check on deanroberthunt (as in 2 seconds) today quotes cloudbuy as very bullish.... I will therefore censor him/her as clearly in the pay of someone to type absolute rubbish.
