14/10/2015 08:56 | Wilfy, Its not that strange at all regarding that article. Clearly the chap is a CHL holder and using the article to promote that. However as he clearly doesn't understand OXS advanced stage then he's way off the mark. Given the facts to date from both OXS and CHL, OXS looks like getting a final post-arbitration result in the very near future for their world class producing assets. CHL still look years away from the final hearing, in fact there is a resemblance between them and OXS fighting that imaginative tax bill in the Uzbek courts some years ago. I might take some of those a few years down the line too, like when I bought OXS after the final hearing, but have no plans to add there in the near term or indeed in the "very near future". Regards, Ed. | edgein
14/10/2015 08:52 | Wilfy - to accuse someone of little research and then say our arbitration is in Washington rather than Paris is definitely calling the pot black! I have good reason to believe the company already knows and that we are only awaiting finalisation of paperwork. If it was so simple as you say why has it taken so long? | pennys2pounds
14/10/2015 08:50 | Agree with wilfy, its a paragraph 'The Award' [see Gold Reserves] | orgasmicbeef
14/10/2015 08:47 | fool by name , fool by nature - the kid really lived up to his name - I for one will ignore his articles. | skez13
14/10/2015 08:47 | GS, ref #25766 and your 'last throws' reference. In the dice sense then, not in the writhing in agony sense? | hairballradical
14/10/2015 08:46 | We are not with ICSID | dave444
14/10/2015 08:40 | P2P - nonsense. The award will be very straight-forward. Although the opinions may well run to many pages the conclusion will be win/lose and if win then how much $. The "very near future" is far more likely to be driven by information from ICSID - e.g. that the secretary has told our lawyers that the arbitrators are meeting to finalise their opinions and thus the decision will be released in the very near future. Agree that the fool article is strange - Rupert appears not to have followed this for very long and shouldn't be writing about things he doesn't understand. That said, if it forces the share price back down to buy territory that will be fine with me. That said, if my understanding of "very near future" is correct (which I believe realistically to be this month, though only time will tell) then they'll have to be quick about it. The article has absolutely zero impact on the end game. EDIT: apologies - referred to ICSID in error, should have referred to the UNCITRAL rules and secretariat - but note that the UNCITRAL rules are merely the rules, not the administrative body - I'll post on this shortly. | wilfy75
14/10/2015 08:28 | Agree that statement of 'v near future' has a certain degree of certainty attached to it and wouldn't have been used if not certain! Obviously there was some advice or information provided for it to be made and we will find out shortly what could have been. | 78steve
14/10/2015 08:26 | The legal team will need to read through possibly hundreds of pages of deliberations to decipher this to RS. The company will then need to work out all the financials involved and what OXS expect to get out of it. He will then need to put all this in an RNS and have it checked over by the NOMAD. All takes time, possibly a few weeks, hence the very near future statement. | pennys2pounds
14/10/2015 08:16 | Good point! | a.fewbob
14/10/2015 08:08 | In addition : I will not be surprised to see associates of the regime buying Oxus shares as a hedge against a huge claim; it's going to be fun if/when this happens. | giant steps
14/10/2015 08:05 | Is that why the very near future line was signed off by nomad? Legal team know decision but need to work through details! | blueblood
14/10/2015 07:50 | confirmation bias. | deanroberthunt
14/10/2015 07:50 | GS - I think this also and the delay is about what goes public. | pennys2pounds
14/10/2015 07:44 | Agree with GS. | marmar80
14/10/2015 07:41 | Darwin are there to bridge any late payment imo. They are there to ensure that the Uzbeks don't try the discounted speedy payment method on Oxus aka rurelec. On this basis we are probably in the last throws as i suspect both parties have already been informed. | giant steps
14/10/2015 07:38 | marmar you would, it's called denial. | deanroberthunt
14/10/2015 07:38 | Insurance is usually taken out despite the hope/expectation that the problems being insured against will not occur. | maytrees
14/10/2015 07:37 | I disagree | marmar80
14/10/2015 07:36 | If you deal with facts and not hope, then there's absolute clarity If there was an expectation of a positive Arb outcome in the near-mid term, then there would be no need for Darwin...... | deanroberthunt
14/10/2015 07:33 | I wouldn't blame him either but the last rns will have increased the irritating phone calls and he would have been very aware of that. | pug151
14/10/2015 07:30 | Only my opinion, but I wouldn't blame RS for winding all of us up with his 'very near future' comment. He has had to put up with people phoning and emailing him asking for news which they knew he hadn't had, so this may well be his revenge. If challenged later, he can always say 'that's what I was led to believe' as in the 'by the end of 2014' debacle. | jaf1948
14/10/2015 07:27 | Gold $1175 and rising, filling my boots over at Centamin HQ....cheaper than cheap chips got a few here for a punt.... | deanroberthunt |
