05/10/2015 14:58 | I'm not sure that there is any evidence that a disorderly market will occur - disorderly markets are normally created by disorderly punters - naked short selling, massive shorts that will have to cover on news, extreme volatility in the absence of news because of idiotic speculation etc. When new comes out there wont be volatility in the sense used to mean a disorderly market. The share will either rise to or 10p or 20p or whatever (I'm personally not expecting much more...but who knows) or fall to 0.5p or something. If they do win then I think that a return of capital would be the most tax efficient way to return funds, or a compulsory share redemption followed by a delisting. I don't see why a dividend makes any sense - the funds are not profits in any ordinary sense and dividends are unsuitable for many investors. Has anyone asked Shead on this? I am unsure on the tax treatment of a windfall if they win - I guess they have massive losses with which to offset it for tax purposes? | wolstencroft
05/10/2015 14:54 | Nonsense. Was OXS suspended prior to the ruling on its jurisdiction hearing ? NO. | the stigologist
05/10/2015 14:46 | Shares will not get suspended unless the court indicates that the ruling will be released during the time that market is open, , i.e CHL suspended the shares while waiting for the court ruling which was related to Indonisian challenge that the court has no jurisdiction in case of CHL vs them. Ruling in faviour of Churchill came while shares were suspended for a day. The Court is fully aware that market sensitive information such as its ruling , must be released either when market is closed or when the shares are suspended. | karateboy
05/10/2015 14:45 | We are still within the 52 week range (just) | pug151
05/10/2015 14:43 | That is correct suspension for a day perhaps possible i would guess. | pug151
05/10/2015 14:36 | Suspension is 'frowned upon' by the LSE and is against all precedent for UNCITRAL decisions on LSE/AIM. Anybody who wants to believe in it is just wasting their time like anybody who still believes in Santa and the Tooth Fairy. | the stigologist
05/10/2015 14:34 | Does anyone know what plans they have with the compensation if they do win? Return it to the investors? Special divi ...etc? | bossman1978
05/10/2015 14:31 | bob the lse has very strict rules on suspension and believe punters should have the opportunity to buy or sell shares unless very clearly defined events occur. Awaiting a judgement is not one of those events. There is no disorderly market,, The result is not yet known and you can buy or sell very easily. This is what the stock market is all about it's not kindergarten!!!! | debbie_does_dallas_twice
05/10/2015 14:29 | We have lift off; a breakout. Re suspension. Some folks might think it genuinely beneficial, but it wont happen. | papillon

05/10/2015 14:24 | What disorderly market? The market is working perfectly here! | debbie_does_dallas_twice
05/10/2015 14:23 | in order to prevent a disorderly market..and if we get a major award, then that's the rationale and grounds for a suspension. | skez13
05/10/2015 14:21 | It wont be suspended. Why should it be suspended? ARMS & RUR were not suspended when their arbitration verdict was very near so why should OXS be suspended? | papillon
05/10/2015 14:15 | APF, Amen to suspension! Bought my tickets for this banquet over many years, (including many at 6p) my chair has been pulled up to the feasting table for a long time, I would hate to be forced to leave after only having a starter! Don't forget, Mr Shead is a major shareholder, I doubt he will want his holding to be subject to volatility either! | festario

05/10/2015 13:40 | Yes suspended.Or news at pre open, it will then rerate at open.Locked INlocked OUTEveryone's choice. All those who are out will not want suspension or 7am news because they are afraid of missing out. They all have fingers on the buy button awaiting news.I'm loaded up win or lose, so have no problem with a suspension. Those who are against suspension are day traders who want a same day in and out. They are afraid of being locked out and missing completely, or being locked in and not being able to manipulate the next stock...Why is it such an issue. They seem passionately against it Richard if you are reading, please have us SUSPENDED PENDING ANNOUNCEMENT | apfindley |
