20/6/2007 09:03 | Agreed, just noticed. Something is going on, somewhere........ as usual we will be the last to hear. | damanko
20/6/2007 08:56 | Well well this rise is a nice surprise I wonder whats brewing no large buys showing up | eire voyager
17/6/2007 07:53 | Seeing that Garnier have launched a clear suncream, I wonder how quickly the adult market will move away from titanium oxide? | cootuk
07/6/2007 07:07 | Spin. You can look on the bright side...... I bought Foresight "C" at flotation, received 10p dividend in that time, and enjoying a 50% reduction in capital. At least I bought loads of them....and the corker - I'm an expat, so never got the main tax benefit. Doh..... | damanko
06/6/2007 22:57 | cootuk, thanks damanko All held since launch. Trivest since '01; foresight funds '05 06 and '07. I just "buy and hold in perpetuity" for the taxfree dividend stream. | spin doctor
06/6/2007 22:18 | Spin Doctor - how long have you held the 2 VCT's? | damanko
06/6/2007 21:21 | Fuel additives are pretty common. Envirox is unusual in that it is a nanoscale cerium oxide - the previous macro scale molecule didn't have as good efficiency. I would imagine Stagecoach did a deal and get a cheap supply. They provide OXN with real world data as a case study in return for the use - and as a shareholder they also benefit. The next step is to justify the material versus competitors to other companies. | cootuk
06/6/2007 20:07 | Why is evaluating the fuel additive so difficult? If it is not difficult to evaluate its benefits, why are more companies not purchasing it? A few years (?3) after its introduction, the only major user is Stagecoach. If it is effective that surprises me. On the other hand, if it isn't effective, why are stagecoach still using it? Surely, determining realWorld fuel efficiency of a diesel mix is easy? Envirox should either be flying off the shelves or else not at all. What have I missed? PS I hold both Foresight and Trivest! I doubt they will follow up investment - such investments would not be VCT qualifying, and they are mature funds. | spin doctor
06/6/2007 19:50 | i'm on holiday in the usa, played golf to help brighten the day, see it touched 34p at some point, if its anything like acg it will take a long time to recover from this | prmoldoaks
06/6/2007 14:47 | depends where you live.......... | lord c.
06/6/2007 12:58 | Have to say, you get up pretty late................ | damanko
06/6/2007 12:50 | Load of rubbish, to wake up to this I'm out more much more pain me thinks. Without that contract and a 900k monthly cash burn those of you who think this is a buy must be nuts, no value what so ever, this has got much further to fall. I would not suggest buying in until at least 25p or even 20p then you may get a 15% bounce but this share is going no where fast and if your hoping to get a rebound think again. If you want to make anything short term here, get out now and get back in once the further issue is announced if one comes, and if there are enough subscribers, I feel it will need to be discounted to get major interest and the management will need to convince | prmoldoaks
06/6/2007 12:17 | Thanks for that update nod, the 6 major holders you list have 64% then. | damanko
06/6/2007 10:21 | Like the name, Tough Of The Track, eh? Haven't seen a copy of the Victor for years. Anyway, back to business: Last figures I saw for holdings were - Trivest 11.2% BASF Venture Cap 13.7% Foresight 20.5% Total 45% Little danger then of a takeover on the cheap. We'll see if these think it is worth putting more money into Oxonica. Management have a decent chunk, as (if I recall correctly) does Stagecoach. Think they bought in the region of 5% of OXN when they signed the contract for the fuel additive. See that the Turkish trials will continue, on the other stuff, the same as Stagecoach has been using for 2 years. | damanko
06/6/2007 09:26 | Completely overpriced | alftupper
06/6/2007 08:24 | So we will have a fundraising of some sort 45m shares in issue - even say £5m at 50p would be 10m shares - quite a large dilution for current holders. Then hopefully in Q3 should get USA EPA verdict on Envirox. | cootuk
06/6/2007 08:07 | Actually, at 52p to buy, given the last 2 years (and totally excluding Turkey), this seems to me interesting. Most will await fund raising details - including Oxonica and its advisers, ie where to pitch the pricing. We'll see, one day this might look a steal at this price. Hindsight....... | damanko
06/6/2007 07:37 | Yes. Rocky ride ahead. However, when the dust settles - I cannot remember reading anything negative about Oxonica in the press over the past couple of years/since IPO. Once all this is digested we may get some press comment suggesting that OXN is a decent punt at this price etc etc. One major concern though - take away all the Turkish contract/product failure stuff, and OXN was regarded as a sound company, good prospects, only pure play on the LSE in terms of nano-technology. Ie they must have spent/lost more on this trial in Turkey than we were led to believe, otherwise little would actually have changed, in material terms. | damanko
06/6/2007 07:05 | Four months to use up their cash, and it looks like these are being massively marked down at the start. | cootuk
06/6/2007 06:23 | Good news and bad then. Making pains to assure that the Turkish jobbie has no significant longer term impact. And in the same statement pre-warning that more funds will be needed - smartish. While the shares remain suspended, impossible to gauge the City's reaction to this and other news Oxonica release. First glance though the update doesn't appear as bad as feared. I imagine they will now be negotiating with the original backers (Foresight & other VCT's etc) - to see if they'll stump up more cash, or see their holdings diluted. Having seen the latest Foresight accounts, they are not awash with cash, quite the opposite. | damanko
06/6/2007 06:04 | Trading update appears quite positive...seems a bit wierd that they were doing trials in high sulphur diesel that is going to be phased out next year - unless this was also for a push into other high sulphur markets. Interestingly enough this also gives a good idea as to what money the rest of the business is bringing in. | cootuk
26/5/2007 17:58 | Hm....... as you say, long time suspended, with no news at all. I contacted one of their VCT backers the other day, the reply was - as you can imagine, guarded, but didn't ring any alarm bells. Unfortunately all holders can do is wait it out, and hope for the best. Remember that the Oxonica share price was actually quite a bit higer than the suspension price a year or more ago, well before any news on the Turkish front - good or bad. | damanko
26/5/2007 16:54 | About a month now. The finances are obviously hit hard or they would have been back with a re-statement of accounts. I'm wondering whether this is going to come back or go into administration? Maybe even the sale of parts of the business to stay afloat? | cootuk |
