16/8/2016 17:15 | POST 6523 Getting personal now are we? .........lazy is something I have never been accused of........... BUT I'm sure you could use your time more profitably...perhaps looking at different shares that you do like? You have been bleating on about these, in a negative way since I got them at between 4 and 5 p .... Somebody must like them not just me I guess? IMO | hazl
16/8/2016 17:11 | Would I be right in saying the 26.7m euro valuation is based on Polymetal shares at around £8 50 on 30th June rather than the present value of just under £12? Haven't had time to read pdf file yet to see if more detail given? | mickinvest

16/8/2016 16:55 | Gold has been depressed for ages.......that seems to be changing ....the little gold companies are appearing to be better value. I do think there are one or two sour grapes around here. Each to their own..... IMO | hazl

16/8/2016 15:49 | I think the real story here is they lost €2.1m for the 6 month period I am not a certified accountant but I don't see how you can call an increase on available for sale financial assets (reading between the lines POLY shares) of €9.5m a "profit" If the haven't sold the shares and banked the income then its just an asset and not a profit? | mbthedude
16/8/2016 15:48 | not showing | miahkaysor

16/8/2016 12:44 | 'Cash and cash equivalents and available for sale financial assets of Euro 26.7 million as at 30 June 2016; -- Total comprehensive profit for the six-month period to 30 June 2016 of Euro 6.4 million; -- Dividend income received during the period of US$122,000 from our holding of Polymetal International Plc shares; and -- Cash payment of Euro 0.7 million received during the period relating to the Taymura LLC debt, which we continue to pursue through bankruptcy proceedings. ' Ovoca has a strong balance sheet and is entering a market upturn in commodities. As such, management is positive for 2016 and looks forward the next half of the year' EDIT as ALNC states the loss has widened and the full picture can be seen in the pdf of their results extra to ADVFN's version. | hazl
16/8/2016 11:29 | Need to watch for the action after London physical market closes and the Comex crooks have the playground to themselves. | mbthedude
16/8/2016 11:03 | What do the say? 'You can't keep a good man down'? | hazl
15/8/2016 06:20 | "Well, some price capping in the gold market has been quite apparent in the last couple of trading sessions, but today it was reported that $5 billion of panicked paper gold futures selling occurred right after the physical market closed in London. But what really happened? Was it really panic or something else?" | mbthedude

11/8/2016 15:57 | gold up 5 points.....to and fro.... | hazl
11/8/2016 13:41 | I think what is happening to OVG at present is perfecly understanable. It was at last recognised for being undervalued. The share rose and a few short-termers get out after a massive re-rate. There is a lot going on in POLY all the time benefitting us each time of course. ........ 'Polymetal International plc Completion of the acquisition of the Komarovskoye Gold Deposit in Kazakhstan' And a climbing share-price. IF This is a gold bull then you would expect that after the obvious choices in the producers then the gold exploration and smaller companies would then get noticed. I believe that is what is happening now and besides OVG I have picked up several in smaller quantities to tuck away with that possibility. ORE ASA PGD GGP SHG are amongst them. I have enjoyed rises in FRES OMI GPM(was in at 20) now I am collecting smallish companies. IMO | hazl
11/8/2016 10:32 | This is a fairly useful link on Kitco You can see how the major producers react to the changes in the price of Gold during the trading day. I would have liked to see a "free run" yesterday as both Gold and Silver were up 1 % and 2.5% respectively before US open when the shorters got involved. Would have been interesting to see how much the price rose as a result of the 1% increase yesterday 4% 5% 7%? I want to use a realistic day to then gauge what will happen if we have another day similar to Brexit where Gold jumps $100. | mbthedude |
