'Cash and cash equivalents and available for sale financial assets of Euro 26.7 million as at 30 June 2016; -- Total comprehensive profit for the six-month period to 30 June 2016 of Euro 6.4 million; -- Dividend income received during the period of US$122,000 from our holding of Polymetal International Plc shares; and -- Cash payment of Euro 0.7 million received during the period relating to the Taymura LLC debt, which we continue to pursue through bankruptcy proceedings. ' Ovoca has a strong balance sheet and is entering a market upturn in commodities. As such, management is positive for 2016 and looks forward the next half of the year' EDIT as ALNC states the loss has widened and the full picture can be seen in the pdf of their results extra to ADVFN's version.

Need to watch for the action after London physical market closes and the Comex crooks have the playground to themselves.

http://kingworldnews.com/alert-bis-intervened-in-the-gold-market-to-assist-battered-gold-shorts/ "Well, some price capping in the gold market has been quite apparent in the last couple of trading sessions, but today it was reported that $5 billion of panicked paper gold futures selling occurred right after the physical market closed in London. But what really happened? Was it really panic or something else?"

Poly could be a long term bet. Gold shares are bound to be volatile

I think what is happening to OVG at present is perfecly understanable. It was at last recognised for being undervalued. The share rose and a few short-termers get out after a massive re-rate. There is a lot going on in POLY all the time benefitting us each time of course. ........ 'Polymetal International plc Completion of the acquisition of the Komarovskoye Gold Deposit in Kazakhstan' And a climbing share-price. IF This is a gold bull then you would expect that after the obvious choices in the producers then the gold exploration and smaller companies would then get noticed. I believe that is what is happening now and besides OVG I have picked up several in smaller quantities to tuck away with that possibility. ORE ASA PGD GGP SHG are amongst them. I have enjoyed rises in FRES OMI GPM(was in at 20) now I am collecting smallish companies. IMO

This is a fairly useful link on Kitco https://www.kitco.com/pop_windows/stocks/hui.html You can see how the major producers react to the changes in the price of Gold during the trading day. I would have liked to see a "free run" yesterday as both Gold and Silver were up 1 % and 2.5% respectively before US open when the shorters got involved. Would have been interesting to see how much the price rose as a result of the 1% increase yesterday 4% 5% 7%? I want to use a realistic day to then gauge what will happen if we have another day similar to Brexit where Gold jumps $100.

Happy? Lord NO I find it predictably irritating. Look at the Open shorts on Comex its beyond ridiculous

You sound very happy about that. Longer term gold seems to be what people are betting on. I personally think gold will travel sideways for a while but these little gold firms seem in recovery mode. IMO

I doubt it bozzy....there is a rival to ADVFN where there is much talk of quantities of assets like their POLY shares and why not? People seem to need to justify their sale sometimes its human-nature to hope you haven't sold out too soon. Its different with yourself where you seemed to have a disciplined approach. Gold is rising today up 15 points more than 1%. That's key for now,in my opinion. IMO

Have to reply to 6487 mikeh30 "there is a lot of bullsh1t getting sold about amount of POLY owned, assets etc" Hope this doesn't refer to my figures which I simply lifted from the OVG accounts, including the correct number of shares in issue (ADVFN's figure is slightly wrong).

All I can say is "The trend is your friend", it started moving and I jumped on that opportunity to make a quick buck. I still don't see this going anywhere long term, once the current crop of purchases dries up I think it will start to drift downwards again. I still lost way more on this stock than I made on Monday considering historically it was trading around 7 - 8p when I bought in and never rose above 14. After the 5 - 1 consolidation that means would need to reach 40 - 50p to even break even in today's equivalent terms. I like the sector but hold only major producers, and most importantly Physical.
