Our mine will produce very high grades. It was mentioned at the AGM that some countries like Bolivia produce much lower grades which is sometimes mixed with higher grades for commercial viability. It was also mentioned that it is believed most of the stockpiles around the world are of low grade. High grade will be in demand e.g GE light bulbs need high grade. All looking good here imo .

Roy,
I would have loved to go to the AGM, but work got in the way.
I did have a good visit in August for a memorial golf tournament for Kerr.
You say their is plenty of low grade material around, I am assuming you are referring to other producers material, and not our own ?
Cheers

Well having attended the AGM, the positive is that the Tungsten uncovered appears to be at the very upper end in quality terms.this will allow the company to negotiate better terms/prices. There appears to be plenty of low grade material around but this must be mixed with high quality material for commercial viability.

I agree seems strange but possibly made good profit and want to move on. The trading range has been from 1.1 through to 5's over the last 3 years or so. It doesn't make sense to sell before production and cash flow established. Having said that people can be just as nervous sitting on a profit as a loss. Apt prices dropped over the last month which may have made some feel a good time to cash in. The short to medium term story is that these will likely consolidate and recover in time for production. Even at current price the figures look really good.

People sometimes need money and have to sell their shares, for whatever reasons.
Just at the cusp of going into production, does not make sense to me why someone would want to sell now !

Same here callmebwana but does it really matter? As far as I am concerned having also been in ORM since the very early days with that great man Kerr Anderson this is the original ORM thread or at least one of them.

The good thing is that anyone can post freely on this ORM thread which is the only way for the purposes of obtaining real balance.

Ormonde Mining* (ORM LN) 4.8p, Mkt Cap £22.7m – Interims and operations update

Preparations for the processing plant commissioning are going well targeting the start of December and first tungsten concentrate in the beginning of February.

Construction of the Metso crushing and screening plant has been completed with the commissioning of the crushing circuit in progress.

Primary crusher has been successfully commissioned in August.

Major equipment and structures at the plant are being installed with around 80% of works now complete.

Open pit dewatering is underway with water dams now constructed and lined while the pipeline to Dam A has been recently completed and commissioned.

Main powerline has been connected to the Barruecopardo Substation.

The progress of construction works can be found on the Company’s website: hxxp://ormondemining.com/timeline-in-pictures/.

On financial results, the company recorded a €411k loss during he six months of the year (H1/17: -€132k) reflecting €447k in administration costs (H1/17: €386k) and €338k loss attributed to Ormonde’s 30% interest in the Barruecopardo JV (H1/17: -€120k).

The Company remained debt free with €481k in cash as of the end of the period: (H1/17: €582k).

Conclusion: Plant construction and commissioning are progressing well with first production remaining to be on schedule for February next year at the fully permitted and funded Barruecopardo project. “The focus over the coming period will be on the completion of construction and commissioning of the plant, in tandem with work surrounding updates to the mining schedule and operational budgets for the initial year of mining ahead of the Project entering its production phase in the first quarter of 2019,” Mike Donoghue, Chairman and Interim MD, commented on results.

For the first time in a while APT prices in China were up slightly towards the end of last week.

So today is the day 24th Sept and the introduction of the latest US Tariffs. Essentially a long list of items that will receive an extra 10% duty from today , rising to 25% from start 2019.

APT, FeW and tungsten bar have been exempted from the list, which clearly underlines the importance of this supply to the US. You've got to feel that if your on the Chinese side and its painfully obvious that the US are desperate for these products you'd look to close down the supply.
