17/1/2011 07:44 | Quite a holding in Vphase VPHA should be fun to watch. | niggle
10/1/2011 13:51 | Well they have now got authority for another 15% buy back. Last time they had the share price dropped about 20% to the price they were doing the deal at. We shall see if it happens this time. They don't generally waste too much time spending their money. | kimboy2
20/10/2010 09:20 | NANO up 7p this morning following results earlier in the week. Every 1p increase in NANO increases ORA NAV by 0.7p. | kimboy2
20/10/2010 00:02 | The share price fell with the buy back, pure coincidence no doubt. If they have finished perhaps it will rise back up now. | kimboy2
19/10/2010 23:53 | Makes it abit of a no brainer really especially given the quality of the holdings - i think that NANO are only going one way and that is up as they near production. | looky
19/10/2010 17:32 | That is all the 11m or so shares bought back. I calculate that the NAV at todays prices and number of shares is 187p. | kimboy2
18/10/2010 13:32 | Gartmore have sold their 3.8% holding. I presume the company picked up whatever remaining shares in wanted from that. | kimboy2
12/10/2010 23:22 | If you can buy assets at half their value that has to be a benefit and it will eventually be reflected in the NAV figures. As to why people sell it could be any reason. It doesn't have to be related to expected return or valuation. It will be interesting to see if they picked up any more today. A nice 9p junp today on relatively little buying. | kimboy2
12/10/2010 13:33 | Why do management continue to waste resources by buying back shaes - No real benefit to the PI that I can see and if there was real long term upside why would the silly instiutional sheep decide to sell. Confused - Anyone any ideas? | pugugly
11/10/2010 19:23 | Looks like they are now having to complete the buy back in the market so may have an affect on the price, with a bit of luck. | kimboy2
04/10/2010 07:49 | They seem to be getting the shares easily enough. No RNS as to who is selling though nor about the other 4.9m trade. They only have authority for another 2m or so. I can't really see why they wouldn't seek authority to buy back more if there are willing sellers out there. | kimboy2
30/9/2010 09:02 | Only 6m though. The other trade for 4.9m has been bought by someone else. I expect we will have another RNS shortly. | kimboy2
30/9/2010 07:51 | Buy back confirmed at 80p. see rns. | pugugly
29/9/2010 13:59 | Credit Ag say that the date of the transaction was 27/9/10 ehich was last Monday. I wouldn't surprise me if this 'increase' was merely due to the buy backs and they belatedly realised that they have gone over the 3% reportable limit. The 4.9m and 6.9m sales (if that is what they are) can only have come from Robert Quested; If he has sold 11m shares he still has another 16m to go. As for the buy back itself they are in effect selling their investments at full market price and buying them back at half price. That looks a pretty good deal to me, and it wouldn't surprise me if it a trick they seek to repeat. | kimboy2
29/9/2010 11:56 | Buy back in progress at 80p or s switch between institutions. ?? Some 14 million traded. Due an rns. | pugugly
27/9/2010 10:17 | Yes the GVC hasn't worked too well. I reckon they have lost £1.2m on that after the dividend. It was always a bit odd their purchase of GVC but the dividend should cover ORA's admin charges. Perhaps they see it as a reliable source of income to cover their costs. I wouldn't but perhaps they do. The results are pretty much as expected. Assets are down £2.2m after spending £13.59m on buybacks. I have no doubt that further buy backs will be done. They have been selling assets at full market price to in effect buy them back at a discount. Unhelpfully I can't see an NAV per share calculation. I would have said with NAV of £124.8 and share of 77.781m would have lead to a calculation of 160p. | kimboy2
27/9/2010 09:34 | Mathisvale...Probabl | davidosh
27/9/2010 09:17 | Not a mention about their purchases of GVC shares | mathisvale
27/9/2010 09:06 | I'm still here too. Decent results and a very pleasing first exit. Nanoco price is stable with underlying trend upwards as they head to results on 18th October. Would not be surprised if they did not buy back more stock. | brownie69
23/9/2010 19:07 | I expect the interims fairly sharpish as they won't be able to operate the buy back while in a closed period. I don't suppose they want the price to go up before they spend the cash as it seems to be at present. | kimboy2
23/9/2010 17:41 | You are not alone Kimboy - I am keeping a watchful eye on this stock - especially the imminent interims | mathisvale
22/9/2010 15:00 | I know I am talking to myself but the interims are due shortly as well. I am expecting pleasant reading. | kimboy2
21/9/2010 15:09 | I have bought some at 88p. I reckon the NAV should be quite a bit higher at the interims which are due shortly. I see that the company is getting authority on Thursday to get their oar in as well. If they can get them at present prices then I think it is adding a £1/share to NAV. We shall see but a bit more interest to day I see even if it isn't reflected on this board. | kimboy2 |
