Once a Slimbiome application developer is announced for India/Asia the market will then be expecting distributor announcements and there's a very good chance TATA will be one of them.We witnessed the same pattern in Europe with LP-LDL. Sacco, Nutrilinea then multiple distributors.

Imnotlong they fit in very well hence one JV for slimbiome and a manufacturing deal for LPGOS. Opti and its technology fits in extremely well to all major corporates operating in this space. The ZEON announcement combined with SOH stating we'd have deals in India that all link back to TATA tells you in flashing lights they're launching soon. As long as Opti can protect all of its major IP and competition remains relatively slim then one day it is almost guaranteed various technology platforms/products/Opti in its entirety will be acquired by a big player at many multiples of today's piddly pre commercial mkt cap.

Pages 28 to 33 are interesting regarding Tata and novel sugars and functional foods. Opti must fit in there somewhere.

Fred Narbel now coming in to head up and commercialise the prebiotic division and transition the products from R&D to commercial growth should change its valuation pretty sharpish. Coming from VP position of $6bn dairy co Agropur. Opti have a $100bn turnover manufacturer evaluation agreement and a €10bn dairy product evaluation deal signed both without anyone heading that area. Another words these companies have come to Opti. Someone of Fred's calibre will quickly open doors and build commercial momentum. IMO the dairy co is Arla going off their mkt cap and Davidson, Optis chairman used to be CEO. As SOH said £500k put in by board members recently who know the industry inside out is a huge sign of confidence in Opti.

There are two types of sweetbiotix:- customised oligosaccharides showed sweetness of between 140X and 223X that of sucrose at equivalent concentration which is so novel it is like the invention of the car in the age of bicycles.-Customised oligosaccharides derived from Stevia showed a large reduction in bitterness whilst not affecting its sweetnessThere are numerous technologies Opti have created in the short time it has been listed. In order of least novelty:Slimbiome,LPLDL, SBTX, Sweetbiotix, functional ingredients (LPGOS).They are all following a path to commercial maturity. In the future these products and IP can be crossed over and we should see in Gofigure and similar products a sweet functional fibre that reduces cholesterol for example. Both the High intensity & bulk sweetness can also combine a Prebiotic targeting a specific health issue. Then you have a functional healthy sweet sugar. What price do you genuinely put on that?

For those moaning about share price, investors have short memories, SOH:"We announced a pre IPO £1m cash injection for Probiotic Health (which typically realises the true value of the division which we believe is £20-30m), the appointment of an MD (Fred Narbel) to lead the prebiotic division (which signals we are starting to commercialise these products) just before Christmas. This followed on from announcing a CE mark and medical device for SlimBiome followed immediately by two deals (Nutrilinea and a second partner) at the end of November. We then announced two deals immediately in January covering two of some of the worlds largest markets (India and Russia) where their is massive growth in the middle classes and demand for science based western products. Many AIM companies don't announce this many deals in a calendar year. They should also remember that our two new directors (Neil our Chairman and Sean Christie our NED) invested £450K in 2018. These are industry experts and should send a strong signal to investors of the boards confidence in OptiBiotix. Just to reiterate we are building a commercial business and not a share price and will leave others to speculate on the timing and size of deals."

From my understanding Sweetbiotix is derived from Stevia.

So what’s happened to the microbiome?!

Is someone taking the michael?

Yes OPTIs fibres are derived from Stevia and selected to be sweet and probiotic. A perfect combination....

Someuwin, Opti does not yet have a commercial manufacturer for sweetbiotix, so can’t produce it yet to put it in its own or others products.

That said, it must be being produced so a scale that allowed the diary company to trial Sweetbiotix which is another deal we have not heard anything further on. Just like the global £100b company, Tata, CII, Knighton, Slimfast, Venture life......

Hopefully a lot of news to come......heard that a few times.

I see the runner of this bb (and a known trader of Opti) is claiming after all these years that he’s only just realised that Stevia is part and parcel of Sweetbiotix
Quite funny really
Especially when it’s there for all to see on the Opti website

If OPTI's Sweetbiotix is so much better than Stevia, why does OPTI's Slimbiome contain Stevia?

EDIT: Or is it just OPTI's GoFigure products that contain Stevia? either way seems a bit odd.

Five Food Trends To Watch in 2019 (another AJS find)hTTps://www.foodinsight.org/2019-trends Again another one of those 2019 predictions around Food Trends. Can only pick up on the Sugar related one. We can offer more than just the generic Stevia leaf extract options that have mainly been predominant since they came on the scene. Better taste and better for your microbiome. Anyhow, the trend for sugar reduction alternatives prevails. Sweetbiotix the time is ripe for your market entrance.

If you eat, or drink the wrong things, smoke or work in a dirty environment , then the odds of you getting a cancer are much higher.

But I don’t think you’re likely to find a cure in the bottom of a muesli pot! Or in Opti’s supposed manipulation of the microbiome.

Is that what you are suggesting Parob? ;)

Another post/article re cancer treatment from AJS:Puts 'Microbiome' centre stage and what with LGG® from other post I did the other day showing prospects for Cancer treatment and then the mentioning again of how;     "Researchers are discovering that the impact of some of these factors on the microbiome, such as diet and obesity, may play an important role in colorectal cancer development, progression and even response to cancer drugs."Anyhow, leave it to you if interested.?hTTps://www.forbes.com/sites/victoriaforster/2019/01/22/how-are-the-microbiome-and-cancer-connected-new-multi-million-dollar-project-aims-to-find-out/amp?

God I don't understand why SO much of this board is devoted to replying to Dezah.
It only took two or three of his /its posts to convince me to use the Filter button.
Just don't understand why folks want to try to persuade trolls who have NO interest in a company, that they might be wrong.
Please be liberal with the Filter button, and that includes Me too, if I annoy you!!
All the best,
John
