20/1/2018 19:17 | On the subject of patents, anyone interested can view Optibiotix patents by searching ‘optibiotix&rs The latest was published just last week (11/01/18) - filed 06/07/17. Under ‘description&r Just a short section from the description page: Summary of the invention In accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a composition comprising one or more probiotic bacterial strains and one or more lipid modifying active ingredients. The components of the composition advantageously work synergistically to reduce cardiovascular risk. The one or more bacterial strains will prefereably comprise a strain or strains which have been shown to modify blood lipid levels. It would be desirable for the one or more bacterial strains to act in a mechanistically different manner in modifing blood lipid levels to that of the one or more lipid modifying active ingredients. Preferably the one or more bacterial strains comprise a Lactobacillus strain. The Lactobacillus strain may comprise a strain selected from one or more of the following: Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus crispatus, Lactobacillus salivarius, and/or Lactobacillus casei. Preferably, the one or more bacterial strain comprises Lactobacillus plantarum. More preferably, the Lactobacillus plantarum comprises Lactobacillus plantarum ECGC 131 10402, or mutant strain or strains thereof. 20/1/2018 17:23 | OPTI 'patented' reverse enzyme technology platform will be worth its weight in Bitcoins. Shrewdy, re SBTX if ever SoH was going to be right about a product/technology then it going to be in the field of skin/infection and microbes. Whenever I've spoken with him on the topic of SBTX he is genuinely excited by their prospects and recent progress. The human trials are low risk IMHO, with the product proven on human skin in the lab. Once OPTI reach the tipping point SBTX will surely follow with a share price re-rate in lieu of trial results with confidence in the outcome | trotterstrading
20/1/2018 15:05 | Judi Great post and well said. I think everyone is different and has different strategies. Eg I'd hazard a guess most of us on here have broken the cardinal rule and are overweight in Opti so it's unbalanced many of our portfolios?! You've said pretty much all there is to say on Optis prospects and everyone's is desperate for earnings predictions. I strongly believe by the time those numbers appear it will be too late for people waiting in the wings. I've said before but I don't the 100p's will last long before this is over £2. There will be a tipping point and as the shares are reasonably low in number and pretty tightly held (even tighter when it does start going) the scramble for a part of this life changing science will be fun to watch. Maybe we will all be smug then that we held from lower levels. Slightly off topic - that last Rns seemed to me to show Opti can really play with and identify pretty much any strain with their ip. So does this derisk Sbtx somewhat? Eg it appears soh can play around with strains to constantly improve them as he did with slimbiome too. So even if the Sbtx human trials don't give amazing results could he relook at it to improve it? I'd welcome people's thoughts on it as right now it seems Opti can improve any of the strains whenever they choose to. It really is mind boggling how big this company could be but you only have to look at the current partners to realise Opti could be in everybody's food cupboard soon | shrewdmole
20/1/2018 11:03 | Well said Jud, that is reality...For those that have picked up a good tranche of shares well done, because when the penny drops it will be hard to buy in volume. I also expect the re rate to be violent when it arrives. We have traded sideways for the last couple of years (I have, as I did not get into Opti earlier), but if the share price doubles this year/next, I will be more than happy with my RIO with relatively little risk. | zebbo
20/1/2018 09:11 | I’m not clever enough to trade I think if you have done your research on a company and that company has the potential to be massive, has the potential to literally transform the lives of millions (if not billions) of people, is at the forefront of what it is doing, is cash positive, has a low cash burn, has a great management team, has a brilliant business plan, has more than one string to its bow, a superb product portfolio, has a lot of other companies queuing up to do business with it, about to turn into profit making, has not got billions or even 1 hundred million shares in issue and with no need to add more Then you buy and you hold. You invest in the future Yes it’s not easy at times especially when shares on your watch list are rocketing and we are stagnating/dripping down, but I firmly believe that in the long term buying when you can and holding, will ultimately prove the best policy here | judijudi
20/1/2018 08:41 | It always amuses me when LTH blame traders for the price staying where the it is! We are where we are because of newsflow and fundamentals. Traders just move the price around In a range! When the fundamentals change (massive commercial deal/ financial projections) do you really think a few traders are going to keep this beast down? | f3rdinand

20/1/2018 07:53 | Pj I asked my broker for a price for 40k shares when the ask was 67-68p and they were quoted at just under 71, now considering the amount of small splintered sells going on I would have thought they could have sold me that chunk at touch. I don't think anyone is saying there is a buyer just that there is more to the trading pattern than meets the eye. Could be any number of things but us minions won't know until it's been done and dusted. S | shrewdmole
20/1/2018 07:08 | Judi, if I had 'bought and held' all of the shares I acquired in the 30/40p region then I'd have 30,000 less than I do now! Truth is the AIM market is a game and if you play the game well there are big returns! The key is being in OPTI when the big news hits! And is why I am no longer trading with some of my holding here! Having said that even when the big news does hit, you'll be able to buy in...just maybe 10/15p higher and I suspect the herd will arrive in their droves! | f3rdinand
19/1/2018 16:06 | Shazbo you are showing your naivety. | scotty1
19/1/2018 14:45 | Pmsl at the P&D comment, spot on, I plan the pump this for about 5 years or so and then dump (I.e. retire) | trotterstrading
19/1/2018 14:23 | Oh yes, look at them piling in at this near 2 year low... | shazbo
19/1/2018 13:35 | Next week things should be more cheery. General meeting next Thursday. Would be surprised if no contract/development is announced before then. Not that news timings are ever manipulated. Always coincidence. | mouse20
19/1/2018 13:24 | Shazbo actually it CAN take months for a ii buy order to be filled also during the past 18 months we have had a seller or two which brought the share price down hopefully they finished a couple of months ago,for now anyway. Not saying there is a buyer but I definitely wouldn't rule it out. | scotty1
19/1/2018 13:23 | You're right Parob. My bad. I misread. | loungeact
19/1/2018 13:21 | Optibiotix actually has 359 followers on twitter, up from 244 this time last year. | parob
19/1/2018 13:20 | No, i'm not happy. Doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to sell. What pathetic logic. I'm free to share my thoughts, good or bad. Get back to your share price watching and let us know when the seller returns. | loungeact
19/1/2018 13:14 | Dead simple Sell up and move on if your not happy | judijudi
19/1/2018 12:16 | Greed, Fear, Logic, crystal balls ... not necessarily in equal measure. | the drewster
19/1/2018 12:05 | If only the mechanics of the stock market & the workings of the investor were that simple. Where did you pluck £2 from ? It will go much higher than that. | 18081
19/1/2018 11:47 | If there was ''no doubt'' then the share price would be 200p wouldn't it? | pj 1 |
