09/6/2011 06:26 | Very suprised not to see some notice about shareholding this am ..If it was ORCA I am sure they would have been on the case to avoid any issues later. Bit confused really. | harrogate
08/6/2011 14:27 | I would have thought that if they can't delist, ie get 75% they wouldn't want to do this deal. They want to get on and do what the plan is not have a 25% minority quoted company in the UK. | harrogate
08/6/2011 13:01 | agreed. if it's ORCA they are (or feel they are) short of what they need.... :-) | bearfoot
08/6/2011 12:54 | Yes .. I think it is Orca but the RNS's will be interesting in the next day or so.If I see a buy above 50p then we are in business... Much more fun than perhaps I thought | harrogate
08/6/2011 11:46 | Something going on?????????????????? | harrogate
07/6/2011 06:28 | I think they are pretty strong results and while they flag the number of contracts coming up for renewal they have said that they expect a large new contract with that Advantics deal. 50p is too low for this business in the market and we have been done like kippers !! | harrogate
07/6/2011 05:36 | Hi Not sure results are being rushed out ..they were 2nd June last year . I agree we have not been well treated here by the independents since the Chairman stays on in the new order. I assume that they haven't actively sought another bid but of course anyone out there has now had over 6 weeks to see what was going on and to make a move but with Orca stake and management backing it would be tough .. effectively although we didn't know it at the time the check move on this was when Orca bought in ..today we probably have checkmate. I am going to see what the results say with interest though | harrogate
07/6/2011 05:26 | Hi Harrogate....ummm... | bearfoot
03/6/2011 16:42 | This looks like game set and match to me and is a bit of a rum do !! They have got this onthe cheap unless another bidder comes in ...at least now we get to see the finals before voting. Shame I was getting excited there for a minute | harrogate
31/5/2011 09:23 | Harrogate, thanks fore the insight/info. I (and Mrs Bearfoot) also voted against.... we were called by Orca out of the blue as well and asked to fill vote for the offer and return the forms. However, when I said that the offer did not represent value for the bsuiness (as an investor from Applied Hollographic days) and that I concurred with KP/Herald's views/position the caller said 'she understood'. I agree that a higher bid will be necessary to win this assuming they are prepared to go this route..... | bearfoot
31/5/2011 08:40 | I spoke to Katie Potts at Herald a couple of weeks ago and she said she was not happy and had not been approached before the offer to get her view. She bought more to block it I guess and has done. I did not get the impression that she had someone waiting in the wings but may be talking to Orca now..her chief objection I think was that managment get shares and get the upside while we donĀ“t. I have to think a higher offer is on its way. I voted against but it is a bit nervous at the moment. Fingers crossed for 60p!! | harrogate
30/5/2011 13:22 | Thanks BearFoot. I shall await developments with interest...... | hyscore2
29/5/2011 16:43 | Does anyone have any clue what is going on here? Was anyone at the meeting? Is my confusion due to encroaching senility or is it on account of this being a genuinely confusing situation and there having been less than perfect communications from the company? | hyscore2
16/5/2011 18:17 | I think things could get quite interesting here ..Herald have bought a chunk at 50p and are nearly 20% of the shares that can vote on this deal. | harrogate
03/5/2011 11:24 | No, like you I've read the thing from end to end and there appears to be no mention whatsoever of offer dates or indeed anything to do with timing! There's also no mention of when the formal offer documentation will be forthcomming.....all very strange anbd slightly worrying that nothing has been produced other than the RNS! | bearfoot
03/5/2011 06:52 | Does it say when the first closing date is I can't see it on the announcement? Thanks | harrogate
03/5/2011 06:48 | Harrogate, the circular is simply a copy of the annoucement. The formal offer documents will follow according to the blurb. | bearfoot
03/5/2011 06:29 | I see a 1,000,000 buy on Thursday was by an arbitrage firm... maybe stll a bit of life in this !! | harrogate
02/5/2011 06:00 | Hi I understand the circular is out ..if anyone has it electromically could you email it to me ..I will put up my adresss if anyone has it Thanks | harrogate
29/4/2011 07:18 | Just been looking at the holding declarations and the volumes in the market. Looks as if Blackrock have sold their 2 million plus shares in the market. I am not totally convinced the more I think about it that there is no chance of another bid here. I would have thought if the 4 million shares sold on Thursday were bought by Orca or people acting for them then it is over but if someone else has been buying them then we might have a bit of fun. Maybe just wishful thinking but OPSEC is a scare asset in a market that has been of interest to PE in the US. | harrogate
28/4/2011 08:14 | Good comment, as ever, Harrogate. Thank you. | bearfoot
27/4/2011 15:28 | JONNO1 - 21 Dec'10 - 15:28 - 587 of 619 edit A friend of mine actually got tipped this last month in the middle East, told me about it but the spread was something like 25.5p - 28p + very illiquid so didn't bother with it... however how low does it go? Is it attractive here? JONNO1 - 21 Dec'10 - 15:56 - 589 of 619 edit ...Someone told him it was about to go mega , and that he had nearly a million shares, my mate doesn't trade , but knows I do so told me, took a look as I was unaware of this stock... haven't touched it yet, the only reason I could see it going higher was if there was a bidder out there. It certainly hasn't acted like that in the last month has it... I have no current position, but am curious, and have it watch listed Timing eh ! missed it Doh! | jonno1 |
