Because today there was limited news and today the share price has risen.

That seems quite common with OPHR actually!

Would you like to play cards with me one day?

Not especially, I take your point but think it's overdone.

I can see there is some buying pressure this morning. Has the company given some private guidance or are there gamblers taking a punt?

There is always buying and selling pressure in the stock market - why is today any different?

"Brent-linked". Could mean virtually anything? e.g. Brent -50%, Brent -5%...?

Theoretically it could be but given no more detail was provided one would NOT expect it to materially differ from Brent oil price.

Management will not deliberately put out misleading RNS for fun - no matter what some private investors seem to be think.

Suspect more will be given at a later date - take your point but you can't expect an RNS to contain every minutiae of contract detail

70p, back to a £1 again?

Ta. Yes, I'd read that. It's not enough for me, though.

You say you are assuming a close link to Brent - but the rns doesn't state that.

Also, there may be a floor and a cap? And, what is the starting point price for the LNG/Brent linkage?

I can see there is some buying pressure this morning. Has the company given some private guidance or are there gamblers taking a punt?

I'm not holding and can't buy without more clarity. (No advice intended.)

Part detail in the RNS Ed:

Gunvor is committed to taking the full contract capacity of the Gandria FLNG vessel of 2.2 MMTPA, which will be purchased on a Brent-linked, Free on Board ("FOB") basis for a 10 year term. The contract structure allows flexibility for up to 1.1 MMTPA of the Fortuna capacity to be marketed on an alternate basis. Consequently the agreement gives the Fortuna partners, alongside the State of Equatorial Guinea, the potential to sell volumes to higher priced gas markets in Africa and beyond, whilst retaining a share in the profits of such sales.

I'd assume this to mean a close link to Brent. At least not materially different.

Does anyone have an idea as to the terms? Otherwise, how can this be valued?

Making the COO redundant, what on earth is that all about, cheaper than sacking? A well run business? You cannot be serious, maybe for the management, not the shareholders! I've dropped a £100K here since SMDR, getting out now, was hoping this would come good but don't think so now. IMHO.

Back to the lows. Should have sold at £1...

The point is what has gone has gone - it's history - as a private investor we need to look to what happens next.

It's a tough game. I've made some mistakes - I'm sure we all have -

What I do see however is a well run business which has been battered by macro factors -i.e. the price oil and LNG - very similar to Soco actually - which I know Ed also dislikes.

It has little/no debt and will reap any rewards that come with an increasing commodity price.

Meanwhile trash like PMO and TLW rise on oil discovery's that are to be quite honest irrelevant when they are sitting on $bn's of debt. The bondholders will win there.

To be comforted if an investment only loses 80% of its value instead of the full 100% lost by some others, I think misses the point.

Isn't the idea of equity investing to make capital gains?

I'm not especially bullish on Fortuna FWIW - but I do get the investment logic - it makes sense.
