10/11/2016 12:07 | Its never a good idea to invest in any country where the name ends in Stan.(Kaz ,Kurd etc) Thats right across the board for the lot of em. You'll lose your cash by doing so. I won,t touch em.... imho | pineapple1
10/11/2016 12:01 | I agree with your reason to be sceptical on this but I assume from today's announcement and with the buy-in from Schlumberger that they think it can work at today's gas prices otherwise they wouldn't entertain it. And also perhaps why they've been offered a better deal to go ahead with it. Of course FID is Q1 2017 so could yet fail before then. | nigelpm
10/11/2016 12:00 | genel gonna go same way as gkp coz kurds jus take all profits and ask companies to put all the money they gove them back into the field development so wot you get is shareholders jus fundin the kurds and gettin nuffin back apart from more debt it called humanity charity or shareholder stupidity problem with kurd assets is they ave short operational life due to geo structures the well life is like a bluebottle they jus not commercial for shareholders with oil at low 50's or 60's avoid everything from kurdistan or you get burned and lose every thing | fsawatcher
10/11/2016 11:49 | Nigel.....its good that they,ve managed to get it away at all. I,m not convinced by the economics of many of these large offshore LNG projects globally. Many are hoping that we get higher prices in O@G. Perhaps we will .They will certainly be smarter than me in forcasting such things . But the market seems to have warmed to the idea and the rise is on good volume so it looks the real deal for the moment... imho | pineapple1

10/11/2016 09:49 | when ophr's assets finally get into production the company gonna be making about $300mln profits per year even on conservative basis the market should price in 50% of that on p/e12 you lookin at fair value price of £1bln right now and more with cash balance this worth 150p easy money | fsawatcher
10/11/2016 09:38 | To be fair pineapple it's not as good a deal as before. Thanks for your input - genuinely great to have you here marking my bullish bias. | nigelpm
10/11/2016 09:37 | So it looks like they will receive $120m in back costs if my calculations are correct. Is that reasonable? | andyc100

10/11/2016 09:07 | Let's break that pesky 80p barrier once and for all. | jotoha2
10/11/2016 08:58 | Pretty obvious actually - when you note $800m cap investment and OPHR only plugging $150m into that. Although gives me c.18% so some other bits and pieces going on. | nigelpm |
