29/9/2017 06:43 | Results start off really well but I must admit that jump in debt is scary I thought it was meant to drop not rise by 50 million ? | dave4545
28/9/2017 16:03 | Flowerhead, you shouldn't filter Jozo as you might learn something! His post sums up OPG perfectly. Yours, on the other hand, reflect no understanding of the Company whatsoever. | andycapp1
28/9/2017 15:04 | Without reading post 655, anothe individual who would not take responsibility for his actions in buying shares in OPG and selling them at a loss. | azalea
28/9/2017 14:09 | Azalea I am intrigued about how you know who are, and who are not shareholders. Firstly you don't have a real name to work with, only a posting name so that is never going to appear on the share register. Secondly, even if you hacked the ADVFN database and found the real name most traders will hold through a brokers nominee account and you still won't find them on shareholders list. So how do you justify your claim that people hold or do not hold ? | daveofdevon
28/9/2017 12:58 | jozo, I filter the likes of yourself, who are so stupid that they believe that anything I post here might influence the buying/selling of shares in OPG. Then, there are those who claim to be holders when they are not and attempt to disguise that fact, by mixing a pinch of optimism with a large dollop of pessimism, in there posts. Then there is the ultimate ingrained pessimist. What specifically, do you not like when reading down into the detailed report posted by OPG on the 31//5/2017? | azalea
28/9/2017 12:10 | Andycapp - most of us that have the sense to raise questions are filtered - so he will continue with his utter tosh.My problem is that everytime he utters another pearl of wisdom the share price seems to react negatively! On a slightly more positive note just been looking at Australian Newcastle coal futures and there's an anticipated drop of 10-15% drop forecast by middle of next year.Could be a lifeline for opg - there again they may have had to do some serious hedging to ensure stability and may correspondently not benefit for any decreases! They're Dammed if they do dammed if they don't - such is the total 'poop' they've got themselves into. Very little wriggle room imojozo | jozo
28/9/2017 11:42 | I meant, of course, 2018!! I'm so cross I've lost track of my years!! | andycapp1
28/9/2017 11:35 | Azalea, utter bo....s. The previous update was terrible. Earnings for 2019...who knows. Therefore dividend...who knows? J Christ say something interesting you dolt | andycapp1
28/9/2017 10:43 | I believe if the update given on the 31/5/2017(worth a second read) are born out in tomorrows results; the prospects for a rising share price will be much enhanced. | azalea
28/9/2017 08:56 | Let's hope there's some constructive news tomorrow to calm any fears people might have about the company... | turbocharge
28/9/2017 08:44 | TC With not a seller in sight this morning, your recent top ups should soon, if not already, be at break even. Bid for 5k @ 23p. | azalea
27/9/2017 13:07 | Would have liked to buy some more at these prices, but have already dipped in twice the past few weeks at higher prices. Optimistic medium to long term. Slight tick up in share price | turbocharge
27/9/2017 12:00 | Thanks for the response Andy. I am going to start posting info on their page as there is so much out there. One final point on this board - the company is quite leaky (in a good way) on information. Events are reported in the renewables/finance/l The recent $277m refinancing, allowing an exit for many initial backers was well reported in advance, and was factual. The other major item reported in the press (and linked to from the website) is around an IPO next year. Strange to you or me, as their already listed on AIM!, but I am guessing this would be either a listing on the Indian exchange, or listing one of the subsidiaries which holds the trading assets in India. The family trusts own the majority of the equity, so the shares are so illiquid here, it will take an event (like this) for the market to place a proper value on the shares, but such an event would do that. If say 30% of shares were sold by the family, or 30% of one of the subsidiaries shares were listed in India, it would certainly help to give a better reflective market valuation. They publically state they have the infrastructure to add 800MW a year (and will do so this financial year to 31/3/18 to reach 2000MW), so the picture in 18 months is going to look very different when they have around 2800MW. | eddie1980
26/9/2017 14:48 | Mytrah is quite interesting although I do think the valuation, certainly EV/EBITDA looks reasonably full. But they have just refinanced some debt at decent rates and as you say they are worlds better at building solar projects than OPG who are ponderous by comparison. So interesting but I think they need an equity partner and need to start recycling capital so that they demonstrate value and also enhance their ROE/ROCE. Whilst is ay they are reasonably fully valued on EV/EBITDA, a tiny difference in that value can have a huge impact on the equity "sliver". So I don't know really. Worth a punt me thinks and I'm less nervous about Mytrah than I am about OPG frankly. They are better run. | andycapp1
26/9/2017 09:08 | It's the last day they can release them without being suspended. | tiltonboy
26/9/2017 07:22 | Hmm Friday results and con call!! So they are really putting in the effort then! Or is Friday a good day to release bad news? | andycapp1
25/9/2017 13:19 | Having been a former OPG holder for years, and still popping by to see whats going (or rather not) going on, I am amazed there has not been more interest in Mytrah, a different play on the Indian energy market. (as I can't see why people would otherwise want to be in OPG if not for the energy market access.) They are equally unloved / ignored by the market, but the two companies are like chalk and cheese. Information flows on Mytrah are infinitely more frequent than OPG, their rate of development (when compared to OPG and nothing which has happened since their last plant has opened) is incredible. I'm sure people will comment on debt levels, but with infrastructure assets, where steady cash flows cover borrowing costs, it is the most efficient form of financing. They keep managing to refinance borrowings, and continue to grow at a rapid rate. OPG have talked of moving into solar (which took about a year to even determine, and will be 2 years from fruition(if they manage it) to start up 60MW. Mytrah are putting on about 500MW of solar this year within 18-24 months of first announcing their venture into Solar. Anyways, I'm bored of no-one talking of Mytrah, yet still see the focus / chat on OPG when it continues to disappoint year after year after year as a listed entity, so thought would bring the debate to the people! | eddie1980
25/9/2017 08:22 | 6 months to get out financial results, wow, that's pitiful! Says a lot about the management of this company. | owenga
25/9/2017 07:29 | Indeed they are. But this year's results irrelevant. It's next and what is the strategy!! | andycapp1
24/9/2017 23:42 | According to the financial calendar on the OPG website W/c 25th September 2017 - Financial Results for the year ended 31st March 2017 | turbocharge
22/9/2017 21:00 | That's finessing!! It'll either be bigger all or double. You might see 20p on way to oblivion but doubt you'll see 20p if the equity survives intact. Anyhow, bon chance | andycapp1
22/9/2017 15:56 | I'm waiting for 20p I'm afraid | john09
22/9/2017 15:23 | 22.5p to buy online again. After all that interest you can buy at the bid price. Somebody wants out at any price. | dave4545 |
