13/4/2021 11:22 | Just a bit of a shakeout and test of resolve....long termers shouldn't worry too much. I'm not. | molatovkid
13/4/2021 11:22 | Well CF has stated there could be another spin off announcement this month. Lets hope not as based on todays news as a guideline we should be down to the early 30's...you really couldn't make it up | marvelman
13/4/2021 11:20 | If Cathal brings forward the other spin-offs, we may be back to 30p at this rate. Lol !! | eeza
13/4/2021 11:19 | I bought a bit too early today as well. Marvelman - too early?? don't forget it's always 5 o'clock somewhere! | jansky61
13/4/2021 11:18 | Hi Scotty Is there any way you could format the board back to how it was please? Trying to read this on a mobile now, is more difficult, as it appears double the width (poss due to extra charts in the header? All the best, John | 2350220
13/4/2021 11:14 | Ah yes. good old reliable Arden. Always there to put a damper on our share price ..lucky they aere not our house broker :-)) | marvelman
13/4/2021 11:13 | wassapper13 Apr '21 - 11:01 - 14369 of 14370 Totally agree, you will have seen a lot of momentum traders jumping into ORPH and to be fair its been a nice turn as we have seen a good rise. Many will not understand ORPH, or be interested in todays news. I am looking to add to my position but I am also happy to wait for what I consider to be the right entry point. Lets get all this BS intra day stuff out of the way and get a clearer picture. IMHO. | m5
13/4/2021 11:11 | I think "sell on news" is a big part of it. The issue for me though, although this has crystallised the intent to float and therefore increased the probability that the spin-off will happen, is that it hasn't given nearly enough info to estimate the value of the spin-off. For that you need the prospectus and/or some feedback on IPO price from potential participants. But not only is it difficult to value the spin-off, it is difficult to value the core business because the official (i.e. finnCap) numbers seem so out-of-date. So I really hope we get the 2020 results soon, and more importantly an updated 2021 revenue forecast. This will allow finnCap to rebase its forecasts (and price target) based on a more credible revenue base for the core, as well as introduce a specific value component for this spin-off. | 1gw
13/4/2021 11:08 | It's falling due to profit takers who will have taken positions in the 35p region for the breakout to all time highs. I suspect it will retest this level before moving back up... Also worth flagging that Arden reiterated their 36p price target this morning which was significantly below where the share price had spiked to. | 74tom
13/4/2021 11:05 | Certainly enough to drive a good man to drink! | klosters65
13/4/2021 11:01 | Sort of true normally klosters, but no one knows what the value of the spin out is and what if any value it does/did add to the ORPH price. The answer is probably zero value (in current price) so it is just all froth at the moment as people jockey. | wassapper
13/4/2021 10:58 | 14365. Have you heard the phrase "buy on rumour sell on news" ? Well, this is the news. So down we go. Hopefully only a little blip. Check again at 4.30pm | 666james
13/4/2021 10:58 | Frustrated as hell by these markets. I was expecting 50p today not 40p on this news. I feel I am in a different and clearly inferior intellectual space sometimes. Too early for a drink. | marvelman
13/4/2021 10:56 | Because some of the value is being taken away from the main company. Also ,I suspect that some do not understand that ORPH will continue to trade. | klosters65
13/4/2021 10:53 | I do not understand why it has fallen so much today on such an RNS | jarega85
13/4/2021 10:49 | Great RNS, bought a few more too early !!!! but heh ho now even cheaper !! Kept the 2 big ones out of the spin-off so there is great value here at 40p odd. Now my biggest holding !! | parsons4
13/4/2021 10:45 | Incidentally, I don't think selling Orph purely because of the Newco lock-in is a particularly rational response. For those who want to take the "profits" from the spin-off immediately, there should be a period ahead of the AIM float (assuming it happens) when the opening price of Newco is better understood (from the "initial market soundings") and before Orph trades "ex-dividend". During this period, the share price of Orph should reflect the expected value upon float of Newco. Anyone who doesn't want to be locked in to Newco shares can sell Orph at that point, buying back in (if they wish) once it trades ex-dividend. | 1gw
13/4/2021 10:44 | Makes sense. We are only being given what we already own in another form. Nothing additional given (no income tax due) and no added value realised till you sell them (no CGT due). | donaferentes
13/4/2021 10:44 | I see us at first stage potential support area after our recent rise. IMHO, DYOR. | m5
13/4/2021 10:37 | Important part from the RNS for ORPH shareholders who do NOT hold shares in a tax sheltered account (ISA, SIPP)... "HMRC advance clearance for the Demerger has been successfully obtained so any distribution would be exempt for income tax purposes and have no capital gains implications for UK shareholders. Further announcements will be made at the appropriate time." | pecuniarum copia
13/4/2021 10:37 | Stop being a bad share orph. Its not a good look. I will tell Cackle | volsung
13/4/2021 10:36 | For better or for worse, I'm in at 41.2 | ohojim
13/4/2021 10:35 | I am thinking that the lock-in period will be a lot less than 9 months. | malcolmmm
13/4/2021 10:31 | yasyas you are getting shares in a new company with an ORPH asset put in it. You can sell the shares after a timeframe of upto 9 months, exact time TBC. The value of these shares is as yet unknown. | pogue |
