Love it when some sell up and the price dips back allowing long term holders to take advantage.

Okay, forgive me ,I am a little bit piddled because it's after 11 pm. The shares are trading at 23.5p. So, are they more likely to go down 5p to 17.5p or go up 5p to 28.5p ?

A couple of weeks ago CF said that news on a 3rd facility is imminent and wearable data announcement will also be soon. I'd be very surprised if we don't get news before next weeks presentation. There is no real need for him to do another presentation just for the sake of it. We had two last month.

Blimey, it's not difficult. They want all weak shareholders to be shaken out, before the next leg up.

Discojames and Pierre, I think I said in a previous post that I am not a big believer in efficient markets and certainly there are more inefficiencies in small caps. I just think that Orph is different because of the intensive way the company has told it’s story via the regular presentations and bloggers. Expectations are correspondingly high and the newsflow has to be good to maintain the price. Of course you are right re Woodford- and what about Invesco?
I hope the company delivers in excess of pumped expectations because that is how the price will go up
m5 I thought you had filtered me out?

Got to be honest fellas I'm hoping for some news next week to kick start the rise. I was hoping we would be at the year hight by this point in the run up to Christmas and some bumper announcements.

I will now be happy with only one of the many pieces landing this side of new year based on recent comments from CF.
But I'd like some positive movement nonetheless.

The difference between price and value is exactly what gives opportunities in the stock market. Saying the price always reflects the value is a pretty naive thing to say. From an experienced investor too? Doesn't make sense to me.

Cargo, that's a totally nonsense argument. There will be numerous shares with multiple potential revenue streams which aren't priced in. Orph alone has two assets which could each easily match the current market cap on their own - as the exc chairman has specifically mentioned in regards to the wearables Deal potential. We also had significant selling pressure from the ex Woodford fund and it could be argued we and many other shares are artificially low from that, there are a lot of things which influence a companies share price beyond the fundamentals, especially on aim and as with every single aim share there are carrots in front, it's just holders believe the carrots are more substantial and more likely here than in other shares.

I will look more closely at all of those points Pogue but would ask you a question: of all that, what is not known by the market? because to the extent that it is known it is probably in the price-

HRA Chair statement & Covid CHIM’s

Chair Professor Sir Terence Stephenson reflects on the role of the HRA in the race from lab to jab.

“The government has been clear that a portfolio of vaccines will be needed to ensure as many people as possible can be protected from the virus, and whilst this week’s result should be celebrated, more research is needed to generate evidence to inform a long-term vaccination strategy.

This may include new candidates, or new types of study, for example a human vaccine challenge approach where healthy volunteers are deliberately infected with coronavirus to test the efficacy of a particular vaccine.”

Thought I’d wait until after the close to share this one and hopefully allow a few more weak share holders to exit.

Great comments by the Chair of the HRA ref Covid CHIM’s.

Based on some of the recent news flow and tweets – I think we may be hearing some official news fairly soon!

BRSC trust fund would be a good safe one for cargo , am up 70% in 6months. Its a risk reward game in small caps.

ORPH makes a profit, if you notice it was only finally formed of its constituent parts in January both of which were loss making and since then major restructuring and large contract wins have changed the company. You should also look at the contract wins coming and the fact its formerly Hvivo clinic is fully booked until next summer doing high profit margin challenge studies, add in Venn regularly adds in contracts for a few £million every so often, advanced stage of planning for another clinic in Belgium on a JV or rental basis for the over flow challenge studies, free use of a government clinic in London again more challenge studies, imminent sales/rental of database to a large FANG type company, CEO states the value of the database is more than current market cap of ORPH, I could go on but stating ORPH does not make a profit shows you have not even started looking at the company numbers.
Sadly you know nothing about ORPH, at least you replied.

The EMA suggested that it is imposing more stringent checks than the emergency process used by the MHRA.

The EMA believes that its conditional marketing authorisation (CMA) process is "the most appropriate regulatory mechanism for use in the current pandemic emergency".

Pogue, I have not got as far as modelling this one I have simply been looking at technicals and company basics
I think it is reasonable to assume that all the flow of good news and implied expectations from company presentations and bloggers reports is already reflected in the price which has quadrupled this year. It has a £160m market cap and hasn’t made a profit
