I certainly agree you bought at a discount, well done. Whereas my buy just 24hrs earlier turned out to be not so well timed, but like I said, I take a medium term view. I suspect yesterday's fall was a result of the release of newspaper comment on perceived 'cooling' of London property prices for 2017.

Maz, Good to know. SHAW is higher rated than the other two, so I never bought.

Yes, I have seen your Posts recently on my ALD thread, thanks. I would have liked to have said that I bought ALD back in June 16, but alas I didn't' - it was in fact much earlier and have still someway to go to get back into profit, but we're steadily getting there. Hey-Ho that's how it goes. Incidentally, I was also considering VM and SHAW, but decided in the end that OSB presented more upside potential.

Thanks chew7win, my 'buy' seemingly did create a mini 'blip' at around 11am, that as you rightly suggest is indicative of today's low volume. Also my broker is iii, who deal via 3rd a party broker and in consequence I end up paying a slightly higher price. I generally take a medium term view and have been watching OSB for some time, incidentally I also hold ALD that has been recovering well since last June's cataclysmic result.

Mazarin, All the best, low volume seems to have presented an opportunity.

I have just bought in today in the belief OSB is about to catch up with the rest of the Challenger Banks. So we'll find out sooner or later

SHAW up 0.7%, ALD up 1.80%, OSB up 0.1%.OSB, you have a lot of catching up to do.

Was thinking about it more since my post above. CFO (not CEO) sold a minority of her holding, whilst the other three were management/executive committee type level, rather than plc board level so the amounts would have been more material to them and they may not have been fully aware of how the company is performing. On reflection therefore, I'm more relaxed about it, particularly looking at the last trading statement and current multiples

Ch Exec sold 25% of her shares following recovery in share price. Whats wrong with that - she still has 75%

Surprised that there hasn't been more discussion on here about the 4 director sales on 6 December. Is there an obvious reason which I'm missing and which explains who no-one is concerned about it?

Port,
Just following the chart, it should bounce off support, at least I hope so.

Shaw at P/E 10 roughly, for OSB to be at same rating would mean 400p.

Whole sector looks to be warming up. I'm speculating that we will see some M&A soon? And perhaps the markets are anticipating a rate rise here in the UK next year? If so then I know a few companies that will be well worth keeping an eye on...
