11/1/2017 12:30 | They tweeted this, this morning: "Our first shipment of #malaria kits are ready for the Indian domestic market - @Omega we deliver global solutions to global problems #RDT"Posted with a picture showing 16 large boxes of what were presumably the Malaria RDT kits. This is shaping up nicely. | longshanks
11/1/2017 09:00 | So we should have CE Mark by the end of March.... | barrywhit
11/1/2017 08:35 | This RNS explains all the large trades end of December and the 1million trade yesterday.... | barrywhit
11/1/2017 08:32 | Aha.If they want to sell Malaria (and other RDTs) through the WHO, they need to be CE marked.I found a reference to 70m Malaria RDT kits being used in 2007. A decent market to go for... | longshanks
11/1/2017 08:15 | According to Wikipedia it is only the 28 countries of the EEA, Switzerland and Turkey that require CE marked products. | longshanks
11/1/2017 08:08 | longshanks - US, Japan etc etc but it will be a global hub one assumes not just Indian market. | dibs61
11/1/2017 08:00 | At least some positive news flow..... | barrywhit
11/1/2017 07:45 | I wonder why CE-marking the products is so important for the Malaria test kit? Clearly not needed for the Indian domestic market, which non-European markets require it? | longshanks
11/1/2017 07:18 | Good news re the new Indian facility - and the first commercial malaria sales have been achieved: "ISO accreditation for manufacturing facility in Pune, India Omega (AIM: ODX), the medical diagnostics company focused on allergy, food intolerance and infectious disease, announces that its fully owned Indian subsidiary, Omega Dx (Asia) Pvt. Ltd has received certificates of accreditation from BSI confirming its Quality Management System is compliant with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003. The accreditation covers the manufacturing facility in Pune and ensures that product originating from this site is designed, manufactured and supplied to internationally recognised quality standards. This milestone is an important pre-requisite for CE-Marking the malaria and pregnancy tests produced at this site. CE-Marking is still expected to be achieved by the end of the current financial year. Accreditation also means that products can be supplied for the Indian domestic market with immediate effect and the first commercial sale of one of the Company's malaria tests has now been achieved. Andrew Shepherd, Chief Executive Officer of the Company commented: "We are pleased to have reached this milestone on schedule and look forward to generating a return from the investment to date in this facility." | rivaldo
10/1/2017 13:42 | But I have checked and he left in September 2011 at the end of his contract term. | longshanks
10/1/2017 13:29 | According to the ODX website he is still non-exec chairman of IDH!http://www.omega | longshanks
10/1/2017 12:25 | Don't think he has anything to do with them now longshanks | hyperboreus
10/1/2017 12:13 | Mm to mm trade is quite likely - and would indicate that some stock building ahead of anticipated demand is being made (he says hopefully). If the BoD have given the market all known news about the approach from IDH, I don't see why they would be precluded from buying stock. IDH have said nothing about it so one wonders what if anything is actually going on. The approach was vague at best.Is David Evans still non-exec chairman of IDH? That could complicate things of course... | longshanks
10/1/2017 11:53 | That is what I have been banking on barry, you would think that the discussions must still be ongoing and by now must have gone into great depth with IDH otherwise ODX would have told us otherwise. In any case whatever the outcome of these talks I still believe that the risk/reward ratio here looks favourable. | hyperboreus
10/1/2017 11:34 | Hyperboreus, I also find it strange the Directors have not purchased over the last couple of years, they probably can't purchase at present if they are in discussions with IDH on Joint Venture or Purchase/acquisition discussions... | barrywhit
10/1/2017 11:29 | Maybe the large trade was just been between market makers longshanks? I personally find it a little bit of a puzzle that any of the Directors haven't had a nibble since the back end of 2014. I appear to have more faith in ODX if my/their share purchases of late are anything to go on. Clearly I am hoping like the rest of the stalwarts on here that the 'good times' are not too far away :-) | hyperboreus
10/1/2017 11:08 | Perhaps Oryx are reducing further, seems strange timing to me!! | barrywhit
10/1/2017 10:49 | Still seems to be a bit of an overhang though...can get a quote for 250k @ 18.25pI wonder if Mr Evans is dipping his hand in his pocket again...or Mr Sneller | longshanks
10/1/2017 10:24 | Well, you don't often see 1,000,000 @ 18.25p trades going through in ODX.......IDH also still creeping higher.......... | barrywhit
06/1/2017 11:49 | longshanks, Polar Capital reduced their holding by 400k from 5% to 3.88% in IDH, but IDH are starting to show some increase in share price, so interesting times for IDH and hopefully ODX...... | barrywhit
05/1/2017 17:17 | Interesting holding announcement today from IDH.The Noggie sovereign wealth fund (Norges bank) has increased its stake to above 4%.They clearly see some good long-term potential in that business and it makes one wonder why when it is only a £60m market cap. I suspect there is an ambitious growth plan unfolding - in part illustrated by the approach made to ODX. | longshanks
01/1/2017 14:18 | Happy New Year genie.. | barrywhit
01/1/2017 14:00 | Let's hope the ducks do not get shot down! Happy new year everyone (especially my mate Barry from MDW days). Still holding and optimist here. | genie
01/1/2017 13:13 | Happy New Year to all.I have a good feeling about 2017 for ODX: ducks are all lined up now. | longshanks
29/12/2016 17:35 | Some large trades taken place over the last few trading days, | barrywhit |
