I if I hold these within an ISA does anyone know if the dividends are subject to a withholding tax?

Good update does not seem to have moved the share price much but lets see when the interims are released and with a bit of luck increased dividend.My Nedbank shares have done well from the unbundling and are yielding circa 8%.Lets hope South Africa can make some progress this year.GLA

Now the unbundling is done we can focus on the OMU business.
The recent trading update was mixed and the market reaction has been negative.

I am hoping the pandemic will ease with hotter weather but I e pect there will be more provisions and loan write downs to come.

Waiting for the FY results in March before buying back in.

I have been buying these the last few months.I have kept the nedbank shares as well.Lets hope that for everyones sake southern africa has reached its low and can improve from its present state.I am with hl so if anyone knows how i will receive the dividends from the nedbank shares please let me know .GLA with your investments

The London share price has behaved rather oddly this week.
It fell a lot ahead of the unbundling date and then only fell by about half the value of the NED shares….so yesterday was the bargain day when you could get Ned at half price.

Sp is today back in line with the Joburg price around 68p.
That is 16p below recent highs which included 11p of ned.

Probably about fair given recent price..but this is all about recovery in Southern Africa….my SA contacts don’t give a confident outlook, so this is possibly a good time to buy before a recovery sets in.

Nedbank shares falling ...

Old Mutual Ltd has announced plans to unbundle a portion of its shareholding in Nedbank Group Ltd and distribute the shares. This means your account will be credited with new shares in the new company in addition to your existing holding.

Under the terms of the bonus issue, your account will be credited with 1.31954 new shares in Nedbank Group Ltd in addition to every 100 existing shares of Old Mutual Ltd held, as of the record date, 5 November 2021.

Now appears to be a decent time to add new money to OMU.
Of course it all depends on the prospects of a bounce back in South Africa.

The last results were pretty dire, but barely moved the share price which has started to move upwards again....
Some momentum will bring 70p...hoping for 80p later this year.

Shareholders are advised that the Board has had various engagements with Mr Peter Moyo, the OML and Old Mutual Life Assurance Company Limited (OMLACSA) Chief Executive Officer. These engagements have caused the Board to conclude that there has been a material breakdown in trust and confidence between him and the Board.

As a result, the Board has suspended the Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Iain Williamson, Chief Operating Officer will assume the role of acting Chief Executive Officer.

Anyone any idea of what the pound sterling value was of say 85 shares in NED just prior to their buyback? I know the money is likely to be credited to accounts circa end of this year

I've received my "NEDBANK GROUP PROVISIONAL SHARES" in my AJ Bell account ... they are more than the 100 that's mentioned in the circular ...

"a proposed odd-lot offer by Nedbank Group to repurchase all of the Nedbank Group Shares of Shareholders holding less than 100 Nedbank Group Shares at a 5% premium to the 10-day VWAP of a Nedbank Group Share at the close of business on or about Monday, 3 December, 2018 (Odd-Lot Offer)"
