27/7/2010 10:38 | Ha ha, two completely different companies with a small time desperado Journo trying to get more than 3 readers by running, shall we call it a, "disengenuous story". Great laugh guys, thanks. | kerpen01

27/7/2010 09:37 | cascade sofa - 22 Jul'10 - 08:54 - 1691 of 1695 Corero and NXT take plunge with strategic changes By Philip Stafford Interesting article. I hadnt realised this about NXT. Pity after what must be 20 years + that the market never developed. So thats the end of my hopes of making a fortune. I thought their technology would become mass market one day. Seems I was wrong. It will be interesting how the new direction works out. | amt
27/7/2010 07:02 | This review first appeared in the July 2010 issue of hi-end hifi magazine fairaudio.de of Germany. Long, long review . . . odd snippets (you have to read the whole thing - give yourself an hour or so!) This speaker won't be everyone's cuppa tea. That much was clear to me right off. Naim's Ovator S-600 sounded so different that I grasped ten minutes into it very clear intent. To my ears, Naim's box incorporates a kind of message or leitmotif. To whittle it down to one word, it's Rhythmic! with an exclamation mark. Apart from this core message, certain others aspects or side effects are different too, like a shift in perspective. So let me wear the neutrally distanced objectivist's cap and pen a few critical notes. Why those didn't prevent me from thoroughly enjoying the Naim-despite or because--I'll explain. . . . To wrap up tonal balance, the Ovator completed its ascendant into super-tweeter territory stubbornly and without exhaustion. While some audiophile sophisticates might wish for more airiness, silken textures, halos and other esoterica, illumination and power were clearly present. The upshot is a speaker with a particular house sound. It's vital to know one's own sonic and presentational proclivities and areas of lesser importance. For tracks where Circe trills upfront while a piano trickles in the rear, you need not manoeuvre 120 kilos of Naim speakers into your digs. For audiophile string quartets too, other speakers will suffice just fine. Once its about rhythmically challenging fare with drive and fire however; seemingly unlimited levels and macrodynamic nonchalance that's when the Ovator hits its stride and you pay dirt. Spin the Red Hot Chili Peppers to really understand what this California combo's music is all about. Here everything clicked. Beats came across so on the money that it remained virtually impossible to sit still. | folderboy
23/7/2010 12:20 | hear hear Ibstock i second that but i am afraid i have no illusions that lisa is about to stop her constant rantings on this thread, personally i prefer the TMF thread that way you don't have to put with it | desertrat
23/7/2010 09:22 | Great stuff - should be worth literally hundreds of pounds to NXT. Now if only they can figure out a way to come up with a few more million quid | runbrian
22/7/2010 13:18 | Riverend, Thanks for the concern however it is my concern for those seriousley deluded shareholders on TMF....plus the dangerous way they send out ultra positive info time after time that often turns out misguided!! Lisa:) | lisa279
22/7/2010 12:39 | Lisa You are clearly quite mad. In all seriousness have you thought about seeking some professional help? The amount of vitriol you spew out about NXT where you have no financial interest is worrying enough. Now you are choosing to vent it at individual posters who post on a different bulletin board. I would suggest you just forget about NXT, move on and never look back. I'm pretty sure you'd feel much better. This love/hate relationship you have with this company is clearly quite destructive for you and it is probably not doing much for your mental well being. Let it go. | riverend1
22/7/2010 10:23 | With thanks for JDLS on TMF: I do not understand how many time these platitudes and woffle can be trotted out and for all you *yes men* to fall about the floor frothing at the mouth about how wonderful it is... For example Thoms's bullet points from the AGM 2009: Confirmed orders for TV brands and manufacturers....[On Pipeline of DML and BMR products for consumer audio and Hi-Fi [???? To be fair I can remember one soundbag/case...] Pipeline of commercial applications of 'speakers where other speakers cannot go [remind me, someone... please!??] Visibility of first car to be fitted with BMR drive units...[Anyone seen it yet? not to mention that the TVR was the first car with BMR ages ago! ;0(] I can not remember exactly where the "more than 10 TV's" quote came from ? SLG? But it was ages ago... and we have had 3? And you hold this is good? As to the range- this is all good... but how very ordinary, how very dated, how thick are those tellys? And as to getting excited about the *new market of India,* that is truly pathetic. And now we learn via an FT article that NXT are to be split up into two parts... That is a classic, divide and contiue to draw your inflated salary strategy. I suppose Tsuib, Jappeee100 and HW and the rest of the yes-men will think this is all excellent news too? Or are you coming back to *planet-reality* in actual fact and realising that NXT are in serious dire straights? Jdls 6p land today...? or worse? | lisa279
22/7/2010 09:29 | Riverend, I fully agree.NXT said nothing new and we have heard it oh so many times before!! Time after time, fundraising after fundraising, missed targets after missed targets zzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZ zzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZ RATFPML!! LIsa:):) PS At what share price do you expect the HUGE dilution level to be set at??? | lisa279
22/7/2010 08:31 | zzzzZZZZZ zzzzzZZZZZ zzzzzZZZZZZ. Yawn. Did someone say something interesting? No? Back to sleep then. zzzzZZZZZ zzzzzZZZZZ, zzzzzZZZZZ | riverend1
22/7/2010 08:22 | Another 75k SELL yesterday @ 8p !!!!!!!! | lisa279
22/7/2010 07:57 | Massive dilution on the way....... NXT are once again going round with the begging bowl but this time though it's differant. JUST LIKE IT WAS ALL THOSE OTHER NEW CEOs before. They all got through £130 Million and despite the fact NXT sales improved H2 they are still miles below last years total revenues.so still can't cover overheads and they are set to SHOOT UP!! The TMF BULLS club has been CASTRATED!!!!! Lisa:) | lisa279
21/7/2010 18:58 | what happened to the device that was going on helmets etc?? | ibstock
21/7/2010 16:54 | NXT should never have had a full listing and I said this many times over. The turnover is little more than a London Kebab Shop, the only difference is a London Kebab Shop makes a profit and employs more people! Oh, and there is a wider variety of products on offer! | isis |
