Maybe the cold weather forecast for tonight is also their fault. Or maybe they thought North West Farmers was in the right area for them? Anyway they seem to be doing the price some good but I would be quite sorry if they were to bid for it - or would I

...the acquisition of Victoria Garden Centre ("Victoria") which is located near Wakefield in Yorkshire. Victoria was established ten years ago. The consideration for the business and its assets is estimated at £6.1 million (determined by stock valuation) of which £3.2 million is deferred, spread equally over the next three years. This acquisition will be financed by bank borrowings.
In the year ended 30 April 2003, Victoria's unaudited management accounts showed revenues of £4.1 million, profit before taxation of £0.7 million and net assets of £1.3 million...

Share price up 40% this year so far, doubled in 18 months, tripled in 3 years. (Same as PAP, though that's a wholly different kettle of fish).

Does anyone have any concerns about what the effect of higher fual costs might be on this wonderful company?

Could get a boost when VCTS have to invest in AIM.

I sold out just before the results, which were unexceptional. I've been watching events since and sells seem to have outnumbered buys. So, so far, I've not regretted my exit!

After a good run this one seems to be running out of steam. Anyone agree?

This company has a godd diversified strategy which should give it continued organic growth. I have been a long term investor and have seen steady increases in dividends and the share price.

NWF will continue to do well especially if it makes aquisitions.

I've just succumbed and sold some for £5.626. The p/e ratio has risen steadily over the last 3 years, and very steeply of late even taking an optimistic view of the forthcoming results.

Nice big jump recently : results pending : question is when to take profits in this one - or should we just hold for better things further along the pipeline?

Wynnstay Group have confirmed their move from ofex to aim today, mid May ! Have you ever seen a better fit together than NWF and them ?? I can't really see how it can be avoided once they have an aim listing !! Feed manufacture, countryside stores, fuel .. all in common.. together with head offices less than 50 miles apart.. interesting times :)

Still watching this one, with intent to buy in, might need some positive newsflow to get this through the 500p barrier.
