think i,ve cracked it, no is 9Number Nine
This is the teacher. Number Nine is a tolerant, somewhat impractical, and sympathetic vibration. Ruled by Mars.

Keywords: jack of all trades, humanitarian, sympathetic, helpful, emotional, tolerant, active, determined. If expressed negatively: financially careless, moody, bullying, overly emotional, sullen, restless.

You are indeed a Pisces by one day in the Tropical Zodiac. However in the Sidereal Zodiac you are an Aquarius :-)

I'll study your link - looks interesting. How nature is so very wonderful - we should take more notice of it & learn from it....

You mention 9 in your post.

9 is the only number that can be added to any other number and NOT corrupt that number. In other words a number 9 can be added to a number 1 and the number 1 will maintain it's energy. 9+1=10=1

It works with every single number.

Number 9 people can work with anyone and will never corrupt their energy or their skill. It is a humanitarian number. If a 9 works with a 9 they both maintain their rightful energy.

Squirrel - I read the Bible regularly and have come across the significance of numbers written therein, like the number 7 signifies completion or perfection and of course the number 3 as you have stated, also the number 6 the number of 'man' for he was created on the 6th day and labours 6 days only and the 666 is obvious.

My DOB is 20-02-1959 does that equate to me being one? and what does this signify?

I find mathmatics interesting even though I am rubbish at it. Their are some vey odd things about numbers such as the mathmatical ways organisms are structured from the cell level upwards.

For example:



I don't think it is by design, it is just some kind of quirk in mathmatics, not that I really understand!

I seem to remember reading an article once that implied that if you were to take random numbers you would find a higher percentage of them ended with a 9 than a 1.
For example, if you were to add up a sweet shops takings on a daily basis and log the totals, you would find that although the average totals would be the same, lets say £200.00/day. The end numbers, which you would expect to average out evenly from 0.01p to 0.99p actually have a heavier bias towards 0.99p.

Could this kind of odd behaviour in maths explain some of these links that Squirrel finds?

This spooked me up a bit, i thought i would look back in history for the date when the 1st nuke bomb was dropped on japan it was the 9th of Aug 1945,
So when you look at the number of yrs between 9th Aug 1945 and 14th March 2012 it is exactly 66,6 yrs

very spooky.

7 is the Victory Card - The Chariot. It is depicted by a figure driving a chariot pulled by two sphinxes or horses & the colours black and white feature. The wings of the Eagle are also seen on the front of the Chariot. Eagle Wings are used as a "supporter" and connected to Jupiter. The Eagle dates back to Ancient Egypt as do the Sphinxes and the Chariot.

One or two posters over on the AG thread have shown some interest in numerology on a personal level. Numbers have been discussed in relation to the prices of gold and silver and where they will go. As a result of that a spin off post relating to numbers, esoterical meanings & such energy has brought about some questions from a few posters.

I am happy to give a brief analysis of what numbers 0-9 mean in terms of your birth number & what energy that has.

Maybe the euro debt crisis, maybe another dodgy broker, look what happened to Panmure, look what happened to Durlacher, look what happend to the rest of the small cap aim brokers - no M&A = bust companies.

I except numis is the best out of a sinking ship but do you want to invest ? plus EU regulation coming soon.............................

If you want the dividend there are plenty of fste 100 financial companies at present yielding the same returns without the risk of dodgy balance sheets.

You raise a very interesting question to my mind. I am short of JJB and am on the wrong side as regards p and l. I was therefore a little dismayed by the formal placing and clawback and underwriting announcement since I reckoned those behind this approach must have known what they were letting themselves in for - particularly Numis.

In the event, the share price has now slipped well into no man's land. My view remains that JJB is a hopeless business and that this new issue is just throwing good money after bad.

Numis will be left with the entire issue bar those taking it up in terms of the subscription. And the Numis stock must now hit the market.

I see no reason to close my JJB short.

HOWEVER I think that these are now set to fly with markets recovering as they are

should soon see the return of the IPO as well which will be very good for this lot

I think that they are very well placed in the wake of the banking crisis having picked up lots of new clients.

Strip out the sale of the associate and interest on cash balance and the business made nothing.

Numis did some capital markets business in the first half, strip that out for the next year and at the trading level Numis will be loss making

No exceptional profits to be booked.

Interest income down by 50% as interest rates plummet

Lots of redundancy costs

I reckon next year earnings will be no more than 4p/share

I'd value that at 40p/share tops.

Numis has a strong balance sheet and when the market recovers it will be a great cyclical recovery play but we are a long way away from that day!
