30/12/2007 18:54 | Thanks Max.........and well done with your post 2742.....wondered what the ref. was and found you had tipped it back then.......can you put me on to your crystal ball supplier......do you reckon then this is all over but the shouting or is there more to come.......say BT getting involved.....or are they in on it already.......pity no other thread....we do have a few days in January and February.....but obviousley you've already sold out and no further interest.......goodb HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MANY MORE PROSPEROUS ONES....... | calamity
28/12/2007 11:05 | 2742 2/11 - it had already been agreed ;).....Have a Happy New Year and enjoy 2008. With the company being taken over and me moving on I will not start a NSB 2008 thread - once again thank you to all sensible posters,Calamity etc - enjoy investing in 2008 | maxwellman
27/12/2007 09:15 | Cal, I must be quite lucky then...3 of my short term recent buys have had great news almost immediately...BIFF, NSB and ALM....shame that AZM and SER are being such dogs though...... | markinthepark
23/12/2007 17:13 | loaf.....re. NIS "gets a nice deal away"...who for.....much the same as here in my opinion....price at May 07 88p....Nov 07 78p....driven down to 67.6p week ended Dec 11 of which the RNS stated an increase of 40.5%.....an added decrease in share price on 20th Dec to 60p.......then have the ordacity to offer and management agreeing to the offer of 95p.......I find all this leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.......don't hold them...never have.....but agreaved for those long term shareholders that have had to endure as we have.....in all these bids there is an element of fraud or manipulation in the market in my opinion at the cost to PI's.......the only ones that gain are those that may be privi before announcement of such bids and able to buy in just prior to the bid announcement and then sell immediatly after a nice 60 % profit on the 60p price....and there are those out there that profit on such situations....not the individual PI....unless he or she is very lucky........ | calamity
23/12/2007 07:55 | Will look into it Mark thanks | robyroo

22/12/2007 09:56 | Robyroo, That's a first...my broker (as do most) charge a flat fee for any trades these days...£6.95 and no other charges....you needto consider changing broker | markinthepark
22/12/2007 07:18 | I was speaking to my broker this week and he told me that it is worth hanging on as when the deal is complete the money will be sent directly to you ie No Commission charges which can be quite large a sum if you own a sizeable amount of shares, Merry Xmas | robyroo
21/12/2007 18:57 | Yes mark....who's buying those wadges....BT to help scupper the bid....or one of the holders pro the bid....to help along the bid....but either way surely we will be due an RNS......there's enough being issued....but they are often wrong...just look at the 2 recent for Axa etc.......today a holding of 5,018,991 a holding of 1.19% LONG after a sale of 500,000........2 days ago Axa etc....a holding of 5,018,991 a holding of 1.33% LONG after a sale of 600,000....... I hope to have the Ol' NSB Loco up and running in the New Year for all of us to ride to a new dawning.........wher | calamity
21/12/2007 16:19 | From the sound of that RNS it looks like everything is pre-arranged - ie Done Deal. Almost worth selling now at a slightly lower price (can sometimes get 37.5p)and getting the cash early at a cost of 0.5p per share plus the tenner to deal. I really can't see a counter bid coming along, whole thing looks to have been engineered by Aberforth and their buddies. Have had a great ride from 4p and in and out over than time. Has been fun but I would have been better off selling at this price 3 years ago. Damn shame I was on holiday at the time and missed it! Can't grumble NSB has been good to me. Merry xmas to all and well done for all that held on! | geng

21/12/2007 14:25 | See latest RNS about Scheme Document - if all goes through then effective date will be 7 Feb 2008 | webley
21/12/2007 10:05 | I'd like to think so Cal but I can't see Epicor making their bid without sorting out their subsequent relationship with BT - on that basis I think BT must be happy to continue with the current arrangement. BWTFDIK | webley
21/12/2007 09:57 | Thanks mark.......but some of us are hoping it gets a whole lot better.....time will tell.....now where's BT.....beavering away with a counter bid I hope............. | calamity
21/12/2007 01:19 | well done chaps!!!! i had to sell out a wee while back at just under 30p(nearly100%prof') for the deposit on my home,, ive been checking the old nsb every now n then, im happy for you long termers,,,, | markfrankie
20/12/2007 09:58 | Epicor gets the thumbs down from S&P Rating, B+ cut to B, due to the high secured debt provision required to effect the purchase of NSB. | boadicea
19/12/2007 20:58 | Thanks DPMCQ..... | calamity
19/12/2007 16:48 | Cal it is probably a hedged bet - buy at 36.5p get 38p in a month or two which will cover dealing costs. If counter bid comes in then make a good turn. Only risk is bid failing which looks very unlikely. | dpmcq
19/12/2007 15:05 | If at all AO.....but if so more likely after Xmas.......what a start to the new year if there was another bid...and another...and another....now I am getting carried away.....and perhaps some might say....yes you should be....LOL..... | calamity
19/12/2007 13:22 | Lets hope for it CAL. That really would be a nice Christmas present. | a0152232
19/12/2007 10:29 | It appears to me.....and I don't know a lot about cfd's and such....but the long cfd's at 36plus and 37plus seem to indicate someone has perhaps knowledge of a counter bid here........or is that just wishful thinking on my part.....there not going to make a lot if the deal goes through at 38p....... | calamity
19/12/2007 10:08 | These RNS's are a mess at the moment aren't they.....we keep getting some Superscape RNS's....bad enough trying to decipher those for NSB without others being administered.....any | calamity
18/12/2007 21:45 | Thanks hotday - will look. | boadicea |
