Tulip mania had a very interesting spin off. Attempts to develop a black tulip led directly to the understanding of epigenetics - how our genome is modified during life and indeed how parental influences can lead to altered characteristics in life. Environmental factors can trigger changes in gene expression.
It appears a fair few here have had there idiocy gene switched on.
Novacyt are winners, IMO.
