andymunchkin - Get a Nova Covid 19 test for the sake of your health before it's too late. You may have a re-occurring repetitive long Covid syndrome.

Getting stronger and stronger. Sorry shorters it's genuine holders time for us to smile. Suggest shorters close their positions before the imminent RNS or risk being cleaned out Great afternoon ahead.🔵€309;🔵㈞9;🔵

A good description of novocyte assays for identifying variants (2 February):https://www.med-technews.com/news/Covid-19-Medtech-News/novacyt-launches-new-assays-to-help-diagnose-new-covid-19-va/

It’s not sequencing, fuji, it’s identifying a short sequence.
Hope that’s clear.
To monitor the spread of the variants and identify the individuals we are on the money.

For clarification.
A couple of peeps (minority) are confusing our SNP tests with sequencing. At the mo I think positive LFTs are being sent for sequencing. Our Variplex (are we due an official launch RNS?) will bypass this as the kit will test three main variants and two others of potential interest.
This is not sequencing (if you like effectively sequences a tiny run of a length of the individual unique variant). In effect it bypasses the need to do full and very costly sequencing in the vast majority. Occasional sequencing will be done in a small minority to monitor emergence of new variants over the entire COVID genome.
Variplex will be an absolute winner as the variants progressively dominate.
I assume major diagnostics companies will be working towards the same but, to me, we again appear to be first movers.

It would be nice to see figures on qpcr sales. An update with qpcr16 and 32 sales would circumvent non disclosure agreements and would give shareholders more information on their investment.
Mind you the new product releases rns was outstanding. And is the yardstick that most companies will be judged on this year.

When it's put like that and given the vast expansions going on in other testing companies as well as multi million pound investments, like biograd lab recently funded by the people of Liverpool ....you'd think that the first mover and heavyweight Novacyt have been quietly scratching the right backs

Why would anyone sell.
Option 1 Mega profits and dividend
Option 2 Aggressive expansion self funded and FTSE250.
Option 3 Large Pharma bid for NCYT at £25+
RNS to follow.

We can split hairs about many things but looking at the graphs on the .GOV website
I would say that the graphs for hospitalizations, cases and deaths for Covid-19 graphs are a "sell" with numbers firmly trending down. Hurrah! (And so say all of us).

Meanwhile, the "Testing" graph remains a buy with the medium-term trends for testing remaining firmly up. Hurrah (we are set to be lucky beneficiaries)

Vigilance will mean testing continues at an elevated level for the foreseeable.

How many takeover bids will happen throughout this pandemic ? Renishaw [RSW] just being sold by the management ... When NCYT is befriended by the big fish, what can one anticipate for the near future ?
