                      ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULT OF EGM VOTES

Northgate Information Solutions plc ("Northgate" or the "Company") announces
that at the extraordinary general meeting of its shareholders held today, all of
the resolutions proposed in the notice of EGM dated 17 December 2003 approving,
inter alia, the acquisition of the Rebus HR Group, were duly passed.

The acquisition of the Rebus HR Group is subject, inter alia, to approval by the
Office of Fair Trading or, if applicable, the Competition Commission.
Confirmation of whether these conditions have been satisfied is expected to be
received on or before 30 January 2004.

The Company will make a further announcement in due course.
