Why would it creep up? what is the point of anybody buying this if the agreed price is only 95?

I thought the next key level was 29.XX%. Since announcement and until yesterday only 18.6% had changed hands

KKR have secured enough to block out any rival bid - would need a hefty premium from a rival bidder to halt KKR now

Since the announcement of this deal less than 17% of the company's shares have changed hands in the market(volume divided by 2). More shares are committed to the deal but no doubt there are let out clauses in each case. Other options are therefore possible???

If you read the RNS on 21/12 you will know that this is not going through as a bid but as a scheme of arrangement under section 425 of the Companies Act. This can take longer to get to as it requires an EGM to be called and then has to be approved by a Court. After that it is fairly quick because it is an 'all or nothing' method.

Does anyone know how many shares KKR now claim?

Dont they have enough to secure the bid yet?

If so, who are the remaining big holders that might force a higher price?

Togglebrush- Thanks for your opinion
Do you know the timescale until completion?

John53 ... IMHO

10% chance of a Price hike of say 10p (total 105p)
10% chance of rival counter bid of say 20p (total 115p)
70% chance of this bid going through and getting £5k
10% chance of you losing £50k

combined weighted upside looks above the weighted downside but DYOR

The dilema is if i wait for the extra 3p this equates to approx.£5k+ but if the bid fails and reverts back to say 60p i lose £50k+.
Any suggestions

A rival bid would be very welcome.

4th is dividend record date. Sell today you will still be on the record for the dividend. Wait and you receive the full price, no spread etc, and pay no commission.

Also possible there may be

a) Shareholder pressure for a higher price
b) A rival bid
or
c) it may go pear-shaped.

hotfinance14 - What date can you sell the shares but still benefit from the dividend. I thought it was the 2.01.08 but i have read somewhere that the Ex div date is the 4.01.08. Thanks for any assistance

Bobjay. If you think it will go through why did you not wait for the dividend and the extra 3p in share price?

My holding was small and, as I said, life's too short.

Unlikely. 95p might be a low price but it's the best you'll get at the moment. I sold out right away - life's too short.
