11/5/2007 10:08 | Forecast dividend is 7.8p. A 7.0% yield, backed up by cash in the bank (equal to over 3 years dividend) is not to be sniffed at. Looks good value for a subsequent re-rating. | stemis
11/5/2007 09:46 | Mention by Bearbull in IC that considering NRG as one possible addition to income fund. If does then should improve perception. | garfield31
08/4/2007 15:53 | Hope the news is good when it comes. Certainly been punished at the moment | garfield31
06/4/2007 23:51 | From the feb interims: "we are awaiting the outcome of a number of bids and tenders which have the potential to deliver significantly improved levels of utilisation at NRG Connect. However, the achievement of an improved performance over the year as a whole is contingent on our success in this key area, and we will update the market once this becomes clearer.'" I think I should perhaps have said "upcoming" rather than "imminent". | planetgong
06/4/2007 18:47 | Bought earlier in the year and surprised by fall. How is it known that there is imminent news on contracts for Connect? | garfield31
04/4/2007 11:31 | Yes, I've had a look and made a purchase. High yield, cash in bank, low PE, optimistic outlook, involved management, seller overhang, and imminent news re NRG connect contract wins. What could possibly go wrong? :-) (Ps - my trades do not show up on the advfn data.) | planetgong
04/4/2007 08:18 | Level 2 and online trading now the best they've been for ages. Has the overhang been cleared? Decide to have a modest top up(not showing yet) in the hope that better things are to come. Anyone else got their eye on these? | cwa1
19/3/2007 16:30 | Sorry LSE not AIM | meadow50
19/3/2007 16:28 | Strange, they went XD for 2.5p last wednesday.Maybe its that cryptic statement about Dividends that is putting people off.Huttonr and I took the optimistic, possibly wrong view, view.I wonder who the sellers are.One of the best yielders on AIM. | meadow50
19/3/2007 16:03 | hmm, not looking to good for nrg at the moment and th market is supposed to be buoyant | cornelious billy bee
23/2/2007 17:52 | are we expecting the share price to lift as the ex divi dates looms closer | woofy5
18/2/2007 11:17 | Thanks Huttonr.Thats optimistic but lovely if you are right.I bought another 2000 after my post. George | meadow50
16/2/2007 17:25 | meadow the bad debt was stated as 144K so not major. £4M in cash so perhaps they are suggesting another special div - 10p would take £1.75M??? | huttonr
16/2/2007 11:16 | Anyone have views on the cryptic suggestion in todays interims about the dividend policy review depending on profits/cash etc.Optimistically it could be a hike as the 10% profits shortfall was ,hopefully, due to a one-off bad debt.Already yielding over 6% but plenty of cash in B/S.Hmmmmm George | meadow50
22/1/2007 16:09 | Hi. Just looking at this share as a potential addition to my ISA. Clearly I am attracted by the dividend yield. But there are certain things about NRG that make me a bit wary. Firstly, they have disappointed in the recent past (which is not such a big issue for me since I quite like recovery situations and a healthy dividend is a good way to make sure the share doesn't fall too far). But, more importantly, can anyone tell me what prevents the management from taking NRG down to AIM? As far as I can tell, there are no big institutions in this one. In fact, the management seem to hold most of the shares. Since the loss of institutional support is a major factor that stops smaller fully-listed shares from moving down to AIM, then NRG's lack of institutional investors suggests to me that an AIM move could be on the cards. This, of course, means that any dividend income would then become taxable. What are people's views on the likelihood of a move to AIM? In terms of the business costs, it would make sense (although it would not be popular with smaller shareholders). | karldinnel
17/1/2007 17:09 | Thanks stevemarkus...I'll take a look. | gurjit
17/1/2007 09:31 | Gurjit - have a look at HCU - they are in lease finance but have just taken a £4M provision due to a customer going into administration. Nice yield, similar value characteristics, low PE, good growth. You could also have a look at RNWH - albeit the share price has risen a good deal recently, but still on a low valuation with plenty of cash by the year end. | stevemarkus
16/1/2007 23:13 | Can't think I have much more to add on NRG. Hopefully just sit tight now & wait for a steady climb. Since this share attracts some of you, would you care to share what else you hold/look to buy? Personally I look for a one or more of a good safe ultra-high covered yield, low debt & a forecast growth. As such I have shares such as JSG, TOMK, maybe FCAM, BRE on my radar. Any other thoughts? I have money to invest at the mo. | gurjit
16/1/2007 11:13 | Good to see a quorum developing :-) | cwa1
16/1/2007 10:47 | Actually I bought some more this morning as well. 119p looks a decent support baseline going back some way (viz also the working out of the double top) and the yield is quite tempting :-) | westcountryboy
16/1/2007 10:22 | BTW, forgot to say but I can't get anything from the above link. Any chance of a precis of it, or another link? Thanks. | cwa1
16/1/2007 09:15 | Hello Gurjit Just wanted to dash off a quick line to say that there are others out there interested in NRG :-) Please keep posting. I grabbed a few this morning, trade not showing yet-perhaps it went thro' Plusmarkets?-not sure. Looks to be decent value here especially given the recent upbeat Trading Statement. Very busy at moment so no time to post anything more substantive but if time becomes available I'll scribble down a few thoughts. Good luck with it. Cheers. | cwa1 |
