Looked on a Dutch web site. Apparently Queensland Gas Company put an application in last year for the same area and then recently withdrew it.
Probably realised it was too much hassle.
Then on Jan 4th 2012 NOP&VERMILLON put in a joint application to search for Coal gas. The Provincial Executive of OVERIJSSEL gave a negative reaction stating the lack of clarity in what chemicals are used and potential damage to the environment.
What are NOP playing at. Shale gas seems to be the Buzz word, but is it really worth the effort for 1 barrell a day or such like. The yanks have to drill thousands of wells to make it worthwhile. Could you imagine the Dutch putting up with that?

it has already been said that production would naturally fall off this year
but then would be ramped up substantially as fields come onstream. Keep you fingers crossed. As regards shale, you would expect some sort of reaction.
