French elections, 40% undecided in first round according to 'analysts'

Nothing short of miraculous since the new owner and his manager appointee took over in mid January at Notts County. From losing 10 games in a row deep in the relegation zone we have now amassed 29 points from the last 14 games and rightly are top of the League 2 current form table.

Thanks. We've got all these fruit trees and it's just one of the variables I'm trying to get my head around that affects fruit yield. And it's nice to know how the fuzzy buzzies are doing.

Tesco perking up ahead of results on Wednesday. BLT have responded to Elliott's suggestions.

I have just swept the drive, which had several months of tree debris on it. The odd bumble bee about, an orange-tipped white butterfly and one dozy wasp. Orchids are beginning to poke through now. +12°C this afternoon, we managed +16°C yesterday, but warmer where the sun had been warming the structures and paving.

I'm ready for another snooze.

+0.1% for me.

A but chilly under the clouds but it was mostly sunny, reaching 15.7C. Feels set up to be a bit chilly this evening.

How's everybody doing for pollinators so far this year? We've seen several bumble bees and have had a few large wasps in the house.

I got the hose pipe out and gave everything a heavy watering yesterday. It's been dry for over a week and is starting to show. To be fair, river levels have only just hit low after being brim-full with soggy flood plains a couple of week ago.

Retailers in distress up 4% in Q1 as consumer spending fell 1.3% in March. Retail failures in 2017 expected to exceed 2008 peak:

Good Morning.

After yesterday's @25°C, a bit of a shock outside this morning - sunny but with a biting wind @9°C.

Morning, all. 0.7C Friday night and then 22.9C yesterday so quite a range but sunny all the way. Although today is supposed to be much cooler, a sunny 11C start suggests it won't be quite as cold as the 12-13C high predicted.

Not a lot of news about. Maybe I can have an easy day after a bad night with No.3 screaming for no obvious reason and a tickly cough for me.

Aleman - you could always try cuttings this year - .

Enjoy your weekend.

Something made Tesco perk up. BLND had another good rise for the third day running.

A nice day today. I emptied my old compost bin and transferred the contents of the new bin into it. I use one per year, so that emptied is up to 2 years old. My next door neighbour has it for her allotment. Then I cut the grass for the first time, which was a bit of an effort, as it had gota bit long. I have a number of areas which have to stay uncut, because of primroses, cowslips, bluebells and wild orchids. 5 slow worms in the compost bin. I got 4 of them in the other bin, but one escaped me. I am just enjoying an Old Speckled Hen.

Looks like being a nice weekend, so make the most of it.

Funny old week, pot managed +0.67% on the week but SIPP -0.04% and Virgin ISA -0.45% giving me YTD figures of SIPP +2.38%, pot +3.12% and Virgin ISA +3.58%

So that's it for me until Easter, keep things sane in my absence! Enjoy the lovely weather while I am away!

Well, I was expecting a bad start after Syrian news but the market is up and most of mine are blue. +0.9% for the day. YTD had a good week, rising to -4.3%, and I have collected a few dividends recently. Maybe I've got the bad luck out of the way for a while.

3.0C again last night. Despite a similar 14.9C high, today felt much cooler, with no sun all day and still a slight northerly. I keep having to water plants. It's been a while since it rained.

Let's see if the Bantams can practically secure that play-off spot this weekend. Season ticket sales have gone well. Just over 17k is similar to last season but they are hoping to sell a few more yet.

I hope you all have a good weekend, helped by a good weather forecast.

Aleman, strangely enough, I think we have more going on in Scotland at the moment than anywhere else. We assumed they wanted to spend all the money whilst it's still ours!
