I've already written off my small holding and doubt there will be much left now for shareholders as they will undoubtedly need to raise significant funds.

Some debt used for non-Group purposes too, i.e. fraud. Have to hand it to Muddy Waters I guess.

Abu Dhabi insurer steps in to help NMC Health pay salaries

An Abu Dhabi-owned insurer is helping NMC Health Plc pay overdue bills, according to people familiar with the matter, in what could be a sign the emirate is stepping in to help the embattled hospital operator.

The National Health Insurance Co, known as Daman, is speeding up payments to Abu Dhabi-based NMC so it can pay salaries and other invoices, the people said.

The move by Daman, which is 80%-owned by Abu Dhabi’s government and the rest by

tbf it does appear, prima facie, that shareholders have suffered loss due to company misdeeds and a breakdown in governance.

The law suit is standard US practice every time a share price nosedives some little law firm seizes the opportunity. Very rarely is anything heard about it subsequently. NMC shareholders have bigger things to worry about!

This is typical of an American law firm to make a quick buck out of suing. It is an opportunistic approach to shareholders They aren't interested in well being of NMC whether it is successful or goes bust. Similar situation happened with Burford but that case was dropped. I wouldn't pay too much attention to this.

One thing with this share is that nothing is clear, that's that's the problem.

It is becoming his increasingly clear that any bid here will be for asset purchases only, not the equity and assets with all the debts and liabilities that would attach.

And why and how can they expect to gain from a company that is said to be 2billion in debt?

This sounds strange to me, why issue this now, there is clearly talks underway to save this company, but this proposed action is to clearly undermine the company further? Do Goldman Sachs have short positions on their holdings? Is this to scare potential bidders and secure the short positions? This action will damage NMC share price further, especially it is not clearly know figures have been mis reported yet, or do they know something?
