The fact that any organisation has said they are considering an offer automatically triggers the procedure in which we now find ourselves. This results in all the Forms 8 floating about where everyone over 1% has to flag any change in their position. The company/companies who triggered this by indicating they were considering an offer are then designated as 'offerers' until such time as they put up or pull out.It's clearly important that their holdings are clearly identified separately from all the others in case they do make an offer that turns 'hostile'. But that tag doesn't mean they've moved forward to a formal offer - just means they've not formally pulled out yet.

Hi could be wishful thinking on my behalf but has anyone noticed last disclosure rns is from GKSD Investment Holdings SA and is a form 8 as opposed to an 8.3 or 8.5

In it, it describes itself, the discloser, as an offeror. I though the last news we had heard was they were considering an offer but had not yet made one.

Does this mean they have now made a formal offer (and hence the disclosure)?

I would appreciate anyone with a better understanding than my very limited google skills advising what they think.
