(Sharecast News) - Berenberg slashed its target price for shares of NMC Health after rebasing its model and transferring coverage to analyst Michael Ruzic-Gaithier, but continued to see significant upside.The German broker slashed its target price from 4700p to 3600p but kept its recommendation at 'buy', even without accounting for the possibility of inorganic growth or the potential from its joint venture with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) - the largest pension fund in Saudi.The stock's valuation, with the shares trading on about 16.0 times' estimated earnings for 2020, was "unwarranted", they said.Combined, the healthcare supplier's competitive positioning and multi-year growth which lay ahead should result in a compound annual growth rate of about 30%, which in their opinion justified a P/E multiple closer to 21 times.NMC's Royal Hospital in the UAE alone was capable of pushing the company's operating profits 30% higher by 2023 once mature, the broker said.And now NMC was intent on pushing into the Saudi market and Berenberg judged it was "well-positioned" to do so."We also note there is material upside to our forecasts, given that we do not model for inorganic growth and have opted not to speculate on the financial effects of the Saudi JV."

Just saw (hxxps://shorttracker.co.uk/company/GB00B7FC0762/) that Merian Global Investors have declared a short position of 0.5%, with the short totalling right now at around 8%, wondering if there are more shares for loan? anyone?
if confirms (as previously theorised here) its not just AQR shorting NMC, and there are more institutions involved.

It would be interesting to know what AQRs average shorting price is.It could be as high as £32 given the timing of AQRs steady addition of short positions as NMR retreated from £40 at the end of last year.Clearly the last few weeks have not been kind to AQR’s position.Hopefully,the squeeze will continue and AQR will be tempted to close its position and take a profit.As for smaller undeclared positions,we’ll who knows.

Well yeah ofc that is what AQR does, but the question remains - are there any other similar hedge funds shorting the stock or perhaps the delta between the AQR delcared short and the de-facto 10% short could be explained with minor investors?

Got out today quite relieved at 29.35 10k richer. I think it will go up
More but it may go down again before that.

wow , highly geared stock it seems but maybe still a good one for a trade as chart suggests a further recovery !

NMC is one of the best stocks that is currently at decent price level. The management team has delivered superb results over these years rewarding the shareholders handsomely. The recent dip in the price seems to be on account of shorting albeit it's excellent 2018 results. A merger with its next biggest competitor in UAE, VPS Healthcare will make it the undisputed leader in private Healthcare sector. On the long run, one can expect the share price to touch 40 pounds. I am long on NMC.

https://shorttracker.co.uk/manager/aqr-capital-management-llc/Yes,it's quite feasible that AQR are not alone and that there are some 'undeclared' shorts in NMC below 0.5%.Note that this is what AQR do.Its not as if they've alighted upon NMC as a very special case.

this might seem odd, the short positioned reported total is circa 10 percent (ive seen reports of 13.3 or 7 in some bloomberg page), but except AQR no one has really declared a short position over 0.5, alongside the jefferies article i'd argue there are more players in this short scheme

this is heading to £30 aqr must buy back at some stage i got more at 22.30 so avg is 25.71. Im in for the £34 mark

AQR short up again,another 0.09% added on 9 April to 2.21%.

That’s a total AQR short position of some 4.6m shares currently valued at around £110m.

Whenever I go onto something I don't understand I usually get burnt. I like health, infrastruture, non retail REITs and renewable power. I'm probably missing out on opportunities elsewhere, but whenever I go out of my sector preferences I usually lose.
