The company is publishing its full year 2018 results next week. Looks like it will beat its guidance as stated in its announcement. 2019 will be a challenging year for NMC with its Saudi investments looking terrible. It’s venture into Kenya doesn’t make sense. The mass exodus of the expat population from its home territory also adds to the growing number of woes. It’s record on corporate governance also is not encouraging. Worth taking a risk on this stock?

One of the Directors have stepped down. She was part of couple of committees. Anything to do with the poor share performance? Of late, NMC has taken a lot of beating in the stock market. It is the only hospital in the region which still claims to achieve both topline and bottom growth year after year. During the last few years it had amassed too many assets which was sometimes perplexing. All other healthcare operators have stated that their growth both top and bottom line has come down. Can’t understand how NMC alone standout among the crowd! Trust, what they say are factual ones!

NMC Health and UDG Healthcare were given a bruising by Jefferies analysts on Friday, as they performed a check to the healthcare sector. With its premium rating, NMC was acknowledged as their "most anti-consensus" 'underperform' rating, with a price target of cut to 2,300p as the analysts "expect the market to increasingly focus on cash conversion and potential pressures in the base business in Abu Dhabi in the basic segment".UDG was downgraded to 'hold' from 'buy' and given a 620p target price as analysts expect market concerns around its Ashfield business to persist in 2019.The analysts believe Mediclinic "offers value", backed by a £3.2bn freehold property portfolio."Momentum stories" such as Hikma Pharma were highlighted and Dechra Pharma was suggested "for investors seeking non-cyclical stories".

Any fall back tomorrow through profit taking will be my cue to buy back. May be jumping the gun but I think this has been oversold and is a fine company for medium to long term returns.

I sold 2/3rds of my holding at £34.50 and kept the rest. I'm still in profit as these were all bought at between £12 and £18. I'm not concerned, nor smug, just waiting for the tide to turn before I buy back what I sold. The business is still good, sound and strong, the market is anything but.

Probably because the Investors Chronicle heavily tipped the stock ten pounds higher up!Highly rated stocks are vulnerable in a bear market as bullish sentiment evaporates.Jeffries started the rot with a note that cut its share price target citing concerns about overexposure to Saudi Arabia.Coincidentally, the falling price broke technical support levels around £30 at a time when politics in the Middle East has soured.There,explained!.......shame I didn't sell higher up.

Something internal that we don't know about. Can't wait to bounce back until it's too late. Be smart and cut losses.

Last week £760 k purchase of NMC by three directors is a strong positive for the share price, indicating insider confidence that current price levels is a buying opportunity.
