29/1/2018 10:15 | I have said here before that my view is that we are pursuing the wrong strategy in that we should be looking to "prove the acreage" rather than trying to increase production. This is an extract taken from an article in S & P Global talking about the North Dakota Bakken fields: Better prices have given drillers the opportunity to expand. "What we would've considered a fringe area a year ago are now considered economic territory in the state of North Dakota," Justin Kringstad, director of the North Dakota Pipeline Authority, said last week during a conference call. Relatively smaller operators, either unable or unwilling to acquire so-called Tier 1 acreage in the core of the core, are looking at less costly Tier 2 and even Tier 3 areas and considering adding rigs on the outskirts of the Bakken's most prolific plays. "Their business model is to prove up acreage, drill some great wells, show that the acreage works on a consistent basis and then have some company buy them out," said Jonathan Garrett, director of US upstream research with Wood Mackenzie. "The nature of the beast is not to really ramp up it's just to show that the acreage works consistently." END EXTRACT By concentrating on trying to extract from the "conventional" oil that we have discovered we are not doing anything to enhance an argument that we have a large commercial acreage just waiting to be exploited. For the moment we are stuck with it and just have to hope that waterflood success plus increased oil prices gives us the finance to start drilling all over the acreage. I think I recall from some time ago a report that said that 3D had identified multiple (conventional") possibilities which we surely need to drill to make us more attractive to a potential buyer. | ranald
29/1/2018 07:38 | Oil is at $66!! Looks like it will hit $70 soon. | balbains324
27/1/2018 10:27 | Let's all LTH hope & pray for a Trin here with regards to Nighthawk. Investment Bank now named and involved at looking for best options on how we progress into the future. A similar Trin turn around hete would be great. It would give newly investors an opportunity for a multibag at this low undervalued price. Whilst those that have taken an opportunity to make additional purchase's to lower their break even price could see some positive return on those purchases. 2018 could be one a very interesting & profitable year for many individuals. | philmac56
25/1/2018 15:05 | You are correct Phil but I was taking declining case net production figures. But with poo now 66 I think we are in a strong position to negotiate the terms of any lending. Another point to this is that the investment bank wouldn't want to be associated with HAWK if there was nothing tangible in it for them or for their reputation. | balbains324
25/1/2018 14:41 | Hawk and vast picking up my p/f still a long way to go to be in profit here though but today's news is very encouraging we're not going pop! | chesty1
25/1/2018 12:57 | Oil still on the rise. | ohsod1t
25/1/2018 11:06 | For me it must go much higher.. | marmar80
25/1/2018 10:59 | Marmar80...above 1p would be nice that sees a lot of red purchases return to blue for me. That would be a good start | philmac56
25/1/2018 10:07 | Great news - again. "The Company is currently in compliance with all the existing waiver covenants under the CBA Loan." | lev61
25/1/2018 09:57 | The share price needs to leave this area permanently. Above 1p is where it needs to go now. Debt deadline caused the historical lows, now when all extended and oil is over two times higher, the price just needs to rise. | marmar80
25/1/2018 09:47 | Yes it seems that is right very odd! Perhaps just having a go and it whent wrong! | maxwell
25/1/2018 09:24 | Maxwell, funny day trader, buys high and sells lower...silly silly. | twodegrees
25/1/2018 09:23 | No just a day trader making a few quid, plenty of them around a company like this when an announcement. | maxwell
25/1/2018 09:08 | 791616 buy and 20 mins later looks like the same buy is a sell.... itchy feet... | twodegrees
25/1/2018 08:56 | Who knows, possible that valves have been turned to increase flow...better at $64 than $45!!! | philmac56
25/1/2018 08:38 | If production is increasing..and POO obtained is $60. multibagger | tsmith2
25/1/2018 08:18 | Lads, if the oil goes even higher, then out debt will be repaid in a year-two. Remember Hawk mcap £150m? It still can be there if all goes well. | marmar80
25/1/2018 08:09 | Balbains...workovers continued into Jan. We could be close to 400,000 barrels of oil for the yr. | philmac56
25/1/2018 08:07 | Balbains...not sure if we have oil hedged this yr yet! Prod..375,821 b of oil to Nov | philmac56
25/1/2018 08:06 | They have done workovers on a fair few wells in November and December. So we may actually have an uplift in production in Jan and Feb. I'm not going to get too excited just yet. | balbains324
25/1/2018 08:03 | Tsmith....425 bopd as the magical WF figure. Although the three wells involved with WF were producing 506+bopd before WF!!! | philmac56
25/1/2018 08:03 | I think this may be the best positive we have had on financing for a couple of years!! They are earning around $60 per barrel at current price plus hedge. Production for last year is let's say 300000 barrels equals $18 million per year income. Current CBA debt is $21.25 million. I think we have a strong case for refinancing at better terms. | balbains324
25/1/2018 07:56 | Yes, what do they need to producing to be so? | tsmith2
25/1/2018 07:55 | What about issuing a bond? Way better option imo | marmar80 |
