gripfit: david dosh,,,, what have you done to the share price with your presentation
hydrus: To be fair it's been on a very high rating and even now bit pricey. Might be nothing wrong at all with trading just that share price got overheated. Exactly like TEP earlier this year.
davr0s: What's happening here - share price just tumbled and almost all the sell orders disappeared. Recovered a bit - volatility like this is not something I associate Nichols with having held for 18 months or so
topvest: Same here - sold half of my holding today. Didn't really want to as this is a great company, but they had nearly quadrupled since buying just over 2 years ago. The share price had gone vertical so seemed very imprudent not to get my initial investment and more back. Great company this, but a profit is a profit!
3800: As a long term holder I have to agree things are looking well, however the share price is rising much faster than the rise in earnings and with it the risk of a severe pull back, rather than adding more I am considering selling afew. 3800
philprofit: Anyone Help? As I'm to new investing- can anyone provide any insight in the following on Nicohls Plc: Is the value already in the Share Price? Having researched the business, the fundamentals look very strong ; and future prospects look "potentially" good.... I just not sure I can where the next uplift in Share Price would come from. (But as I'm pretty new to this- might have got the above wrong) Any help is much appreciated.
topvest: Rubbish - they pay a prospective 4.5% dividend yield and are growing with £10m or so of cash. I've just bought some. This is a real Buffet stock, if ever there was one. All it needs to do is focus on Vimto as a brand and the cash rolls in. Bought in at a bit more than I would like, but as Buffet would say, better to buy a good company at a fair price, than a poor company at a bargain price. I believe this is a very solid company with reasonable growth potential and a nice + growing dividend. Agreed, that the share price has been in the £2-3 zone for a long time; doesn't mean it's a bad company though!
ygor705: No idea Mr Tibbs but as they sell Vimto in 65 different countries and made record profits last year I'm not sure that it will make much difference to anything other than sentiment. I see 220p as the absolute floor here and strictly speaking it should be higher than that as we've had come pretty good numbers from Nichols comparatively recently. The company seem to come in and mop up shares at around the 220p level and they are not short of cash. A share buyback in a narrow market like this would do wonders for the share price! This one will eventually get taken over and as long as management dont try to do anything too clever it should remain a steadily improving earner. I will buy more if the share price drops.
mesquida: Yes, Tole, results were good, and recent share price performance has been excellent, but I do believe that it is now all in the price. After all, house broker is only forecasting 17p of earnings for this year, and the dividend yield is no longer particularly high. Personally I am happy to bank profits at these levels.
