Any thoughts on court case with Oman? £18m convertible loan although I'm sure fatboy McKeon has already spent most of it.

pretty decent statements from ct, is the way i read it. i note that RP is now the co sec instead of the paid for external co they had previously.

im glad they havent written alplay down, shows some meat on the bones to the accounts and also the statements regarding oman and its directors certainly sends a message that they are doing something.

talk of relist and a deal as heads have been signed or two gas producing assets in italy, and relisting during 2015...

Aim is still to relist this year - we are nearly half way through the year already. Last year the aim was also to relist. I wonder if this will go on into 2016

interesting.. a court order is normally telling someone to do something.

if its the liquidators report it would have said so.

wonder if oman complied, and ngp have had to go back into court...

Welsh2: Niche website last Sept notes in respect of Sound:

"While the Group carried out due diligence over the proposed farm-in as well as the tax implications of the deal, this process had yet to be completed to Niche’s satisfaction. Accordingly, these discussions have now ceased."

Looks like this one got away, which is a shame since share price has doubled since then! The note states that Niche is evaluating 'other exciting opportunities to deliver value in short term'. Can only speculate as to definition of 'short term' ......

-- Advanced discussions on a strategic partnership with a major oil and gas company to fund and technically de-risk a selection of Sound Oil's assets

-- Farming in to a Southern Mediterranean onshore gas discovery with very significant estimated reserves and exploration upside

no the court doc is just two pages, all official ...stamped... up.etc..

so nothing on the assets owned etc. i guess that will come with the liquidators report.

the licenses. maybe more money was needed, oman didnt have it, niche would only do it if they took oman over, the rto, that failed, and the rest we know all about.

still cant figure the revenue here... would a loan be taxable, if it was classed as income?

Does it say what assets Oman has? So the one off Exploration licence fee renewals were revoked??

Thanks welsh, it could be the door was left open, but in the niche update it says something like they are waiting for their target to secure funding which should have happened during or after Easter.

Something like that, I just going from memory... You never know with the court order, which always takes a while to type up, the liquidator may have already finished his work.

What's there really to look at, and what's the liquidators report actually going to lead to, most importantly.
