The Facility provides long-term debt financing, with a maturity in 2035 that matches the regulated life of the portfolio, and comprises a mix of fixed rate and inflation-linked debt products with a blended cost of 3.32%. |NESF annual dividend is 6.3p, which represents a yield of 5.75% on todays offer price of 109.5p. This other two quoted solar funds are BSIF (7.5p on 108.5p = 6.9%) and FSFL (6.16p on 107.25p = 5.74%).|
|"Nextenergy Solar Fund came to the market in April 2014 and, as the name suggests, invests in solar power plants, recycling the income from these in the form of dividends. The fund has raised £465m since the float, most recently another £115m in November. The long-term trend in energy prices, upwards, is in its favour. The fund pays a quarterly dividend and has just confirmed that the total for the year to March 31 will hit its target of 6.31p. On that basis the yield is an assured and attractive 5.8%."
