05/5/2009 00:14 | You are mugs ... you were mugs to buy and are mugs to hold .. i would bite their hands off for that. There are a lot of shares going somewhere not some badly ran company trying to flog out of date systems. | ihavenoclue
29/4/2009 13:42 | Yeah got the same email, was curious about the price thanks for checking! Blimey youd have to be despearate to sell at that price | pelleeds1980
29/4/2009 12:51 | Following email was sent today wherby i called matthew for an indication of the price they are offering to buy my shares! 0.0015p for each share so for a holding of my 375,000 shares at a cost of £652 I would recieve around a £125 for 375.000 shares!! plus td waterhouse comission! No way would i sell and rather wait in case of a better offer, potential buyer to take over or re list back on aim. Guys dont sell for peanuts. Wait for a better offer even if it takes 10 years! Dear Shareholder, If you are still interested in selling some Newport Networks shares please ask your stockbroker to contact Matthew Suett on 020-7071-4427, who may be interested in purchasing some shares. Matthew is only able to purchase shares through stockbrokers and not directly from shareholders. Regards John Ackroyd | miyk

24/4/2009 11:54 | Can't seem to get on their website. What email should I use to be put on the list for information and to ask about selling my shares? | jgould
24/4/2009 11:20 | ps miyk its not NNG offering to buy them it will be a third party they are just matching us with prospective buyers | pelleeds1980
24/4/2009 11:19 | Yeah its just good to know some one may want them - its written off in my mind and Im not giving away £5k of stock (even though its a sunk cost!) but we'll see. I noticed on the news last night South Yorkshire will be the fastest broadband in Europe starting work asap to get a million homes up and running, wondered if any work for NNG going forward? | pelleeds1980
24/4/2009 11:13 | pelleeds - Likewise john FROM NNG responded and ive requested to be put foward on the register to sell my holdings. Very sure NNG will offer peanuts for our shares. anyway lets wait and see.......... | miyk
24/4/2009 09:39 | Just had email back from John Ackroyd and im on the list now so cheers for the heads up. Suggest all holders do the same so at least you are in the loop. | pelleeds1980
22/4/2009 22:24 | VERY SUPRISED THERE IS HOPE FOR SHAREHOLDERS. WILL IT BE WORTH HANGING ON TO THEM IF IN CASE THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THEY MAY RE JOIN ON THE LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE OR SELL THEM AT A PEANUT PRICE TO NEWPORT NETWORKS? THE LAST I SPOKE TO SOMEONE FROM NEWPORT NETWORKS, HE MENTIONED THERE IS NO HOPE TO REGAIN ANY CASH INVESTED WITH THEM. PLEASE FOWARD SUGGESTIONS...THINKI | miyk
22/4/2009 17:33 | That is excellent information that has been posted with regards to the website. Thanks. | sharewinner2
22/4/2009 16:35 | Ive just emailed John to tell him how many shares Ive got not sure what else he needs. Cheers for the heads up | pelleeds1980
22/4/2009 16:34 | yeah, thanks to all for any info or updates. much appreciated | jgould
22/4/2009 16:30 | Cheers watchers - my average is 1p and have written these off so its good to hear there is a glimmer of hope. Appreciate taking the time to explain the state of play | pelleeds1980
22/4/2009 16:23 | pelleeds I was informed directly from John at newport networks. Just go to company web and click on the buying or selling shares link and there will be a link to email John to be on the company list for people wanting to sell shares. I was then after a few weeks sent a link to evo securities website with a contact to email, who has emailed be back saying they will be in touch in due course with a valuation. I dont think i will be accepting it unless its circa 5P as i am sure something is going on here with these. Just my opinion, email to sell for peanuts if you need the money but if you don't something just might happen with these. I personaly think they will either relist once enough shares have been aquired or someone will make or has made an offer for the company. | wathchers
22/4/2009 16:17 | thanks sharewinner. I too hold over 400K of these so maybe I should ask about certificates myself. I bought through Barclays Stockbrokers, should I contact them? | jgould
22/4/2009 15:52 | Hi guys, just catching up with the chat. I have always held my first purchase of NNG shares on certificate, I also hold a lot more in my nominee account. The benifit of having them on certificate is that if there is any official company news then they have to notify you by post. I have not heard anything since just prior to the vote for delisting. If there is any news I will post both here and on general chat on lse. (Boredmum). | sharewinner2
22/4/2009 14:14 | watchers when you said about Evo buying up shares and you had received an email was that from a fellow trader or your broker? Whats the mechanism for Evo dealing with us plebs? I have about 400k of these sat with Halifax not sure whether to plump for the cert route (along with the growing number of mine delisting!) or what - will they deal with people not holding certs - bit confused. Cheers in advance | pelleeds1980
22/4/2009 14:06 | yes it would be. I think something very suspicious is happening with these. Why is someone wanting to potentially buy up shares in this delisted company? I know i keep going on about a contract as everyone else did before they delisted but if there was no truth in it or talks had all ended with no success why buy them? I hold quite a few so i am in two minds, wait for an offer (though it will be a small offer) or stick it out incase they relist or are bought out? Any views from anyone? | wathchers
22/4/2009 12:00 | thanks, again, no I am interested, I think it would ne nice to actually 'hold' them, easier to attend any EGM's or whatever too, no doubt | wolterix
22/4/2009 11:54 | wolterix my answer ( if your interested) is i told my halifax sharedealing account to get me them, paid £25 and they approached the company registrar to register them to me. Your shares are still yours but by having the certificates any news from the company is sent to you direct rather than having to wait for press info or other posters to inform you. | wathchers |
