Good to see Newmark on an upward trajectory again.P\e on basis of pre exceptional profit is very low,about 5, and net assets are about double market valuation.
If US sales can continue growth at similar levels and reorganisations produce meaningful cost savings there is scope here for much improved figures in near term.

Newsflow from this company is very disappointing.Over three months since the year end and who knows when we might receive the annual figures,maybe they are still looking for a financial director?

Financial year end has just passed.It would be great to have some sort of trading update rather than have to wait the usual four months or so for the final results,especially as the interims showed promise.
A bit more info from the company would hopefully stir interest in the share price,especially if it was positive.

Is this on a PE of around 5? Seems cheap and what is the catch? Maybe the market needs to see a couple of years of profitability like the last Interims, before it believes the company is doing ok?

I'm surprised an opportunist takeover bid hasn't surfaced yet.

If the second half profitability continues and matches the first half then this is trading on a very low full year PE and a good chance of a dividend being resumed at the full year results..

If it stays too cheap then I wouldn't be surprised to see a takeover come. A gift to another company that isn't as profitable and in a similar line of business.

It may be that the market is waiting for a bit more evidence of a sustained improvement in results before trusting the company.
