01/7/2010 12:51 | BTW, the intrims say that "A further letter will be sent to warrant-holders in June 2010 containing information on how to exercise the Warrants as well as details of the procedure to be undertaken by the Company in relation to Warrants which remain unexercised at the Final Subscription Date." So, my guess is those who fail to exercise the warrants are likely to get something back; the Co will most likely appoint trustees who will exercise the warrants and sell the resulting Ordinary Shares for the benefit of the Warrantholders. | mangal
01/7/2010 10:32 | thank you mangal I phoned Aberdeen and I was told 2nd August 2010 to subscribe. About selling warrants, I was asked to call Computer Investor Services, the Registrar. They in turn asked me to contact my broker. Selftrade, my broker, send me a letter stating that the 'Action Date' was 29 June 2010. But if I want to subscribe I should let them know before 22 July 2010. so I guess, last date for selling is also 22 July 2010 !! | blue_max
01/7/2010 08:54 | According to trustnet, the wrts expired on 30June. However, the Co's interim statement gives the final expiry as 2 Aug. "The final subscription date of the Warrants is 2 August 2010 ." | mangal
01/7/2010 05:08 | does anyone know the dates the warrants (NIIW) must be converted or sold? | blue_max
27/5/2010 08:33 | Yes - I bought (15 April) NII following a MoneyWeek tip (9 April, issue 481 page 24): "Cris Sholto Heaton looks at where you should put your money to make the most of the Asian consumer boom." "The funds worth focusing on" "Well-constructed Asia funds aren't easy to find. Aberdeen Asset Management seems to try harder than most providers. Its New India InvestmentTrust (LN: NII) has around 12% in healthcare, 9% in consumer staples and 8% in consumer discretionary. It also leaves out some of the firms with the worst governance. ..." | david77
26/5/2010 07:03 | Wow - what a busy thread! Back here for the first time since '07, and my post is still on the same page. Missed out on the steady rise since March 09 and loking at this correction as a way to come back in. Prior to the crisis NII was outperformed by JII; since March 09 it has been the other way round. Any ideas why? | shavian

19/8/2006 15:20 | Just moved into this stock on behalf of my young daughter - have held JPM Fleming India for 10 years and seen a four fold increase in my investment. | ykahs
15/6/2006 11:22 | Have started to nibble after such a large fall may be too early but hope to average in at a decent price for the long term - the warrants may be the way to make the short term money but liquidity and high spreads put me off at the moment . For me at least the Ordinarys look the better risk /reward bet. | tuffbet

17/1/2006 14:27 | NII isn't an index tracker. They have a "bottom up stock-picking" philosophy. You can find all about it at their website. It's all large and mid caps mind you so there is a reasonable correlation with the index. I am hoping for a correction from these heady heights before getting in via the warrants. | mattybuoy
14/10/2005 10:40 | Sold my NIIW at the end of Sept 'cos I thought they were over-bought. Over-sold yet? | mart |
