I am in this for the "story". I invest rather than trade but I am watching a bit closer at the moment. The CPO price has "eased" (albeit from its 16 month high) to $820 last 4 days.

Is it me or are NBPO a bit vague on their finacial calender - anyone got a record of upcoming dates?

EDIT (silly boy)

New Britain Palm Oil Limited (LSE: NBPO), one of the world's largest producers of sustainable palm oil, will announce its
interim results for the period ended 30 June 2010 on Friday 27 August 2010.

... looking forward to it

Higher crude palm oil (CPO) prices helped Anglo Eastern Plantations, which produces the commodity in Indonesia, post a rise in profits in the six months to June 30.

Pre-tax profits were up to $26.7m from $24m over the same period the previous year, as revenues jumped to $77.9m from $57.6m. The average price for CPO during the period was $805 a tonne, up from $650 a tonne in the first half of 2009.

Yes, I was only joking with you. 40% rise from the previous breakout from 400p to 560p. Breakout from 560p will give approx 750p.

Quite a few traders base targets on this so I would anticipate it being an area of supply after the 620p level has been broken, simple really but remarkable how many people sell at these points.

So not the base and subsequent break of an ascending triangle then?

It's a very complicated and time consuming process and something which people would pay good money to get hold of!

Care to share this function?

Based upon a function of the previous breakout, target will only come into play if the all important 620p level is broken.

Can I ask how you calculate your target please?

I'm not much into fundamentals, could someone verify this for me please.

Current mkt cap of £765m at 527.5p. £124m profit last full year, current p/e of 9.

Forecast for £70m profit this full year, (so say £35m next results), that would give a target share price of £7.77.

Am I missing something?

Yes worked sellers being matched with a buyer at the respective levels. Hopefully there will be little supply left now and this will move up towards breakout.

Sorry - I meant after hours. 4 big trades, they've gone through at 535 and 528 (delayed?) respectively. You think these are sellers matt?

Auction?

This is an SSQ3 stock hence only uncrossing auctions take place and are signified by a U symbol.

The large trades will be sellers working a large sell order.

Added here, some decent volume going through today as well.

All moving averages turning positive again and a text book cup and handle pattern.

600p short term target.
