More convertible holders converting is this what the directors were referring to in latest announcement? The dilution from this, the incentive of these guys to sell in the market given they are in big profit plus the need for a big raise Is a concern over what looks exciting company

Question is will holders of new shares keep them or sell on 28th.
They are massively in profit already.

Rich...I agree. Though I'm more optimistic on the fund raise than you. I suspect the Directors and large institutions will fill the £4m, relatively easily.

A 4m raise at 50p would be v good outcome imho. fully funded and an exciting US business means it could go v higher but massive risk on fundraising on whether It happens and the terms
Suspect by Christmas it will be bust or at ipo price massive risk

There are some investors converting their CLN currently...that's good (less debt) and bad (more dilution).

i'm not sure about the rest of your figures Rich.

I reckon they will raise c.£4m, which at 50p (say) is 8m shares.

All a bit up in the air...need some clarity and then shareholders can move ahead with some certainty.

was trying to work out how much money they need to raise and found this in agm notive
(e) up to an aggregate nominal amount of £333,333.33 in connection with any Further Fundraising;
looks like they want to issue 33m new shares in this fundraising that is a lot of money even if done at 27.5p
it is the about number of shares in issue at moment so big dilution coming for exisiting holders or what am I missing?

Rich, I suspect that, rather strangely the institutions and individuals concerned want to get the shares rising again...so they can recoup some of their losses. Many are in at 236p. Cramming the company down as a result of a low funding price won't work...they've already got their 'cheap' shares at 27p (last issue price) and want the invest on rising prices.
Equally the management, who are big holders, don't want to issue shares at a really low level.
Any issue may be at a discount but it won't be a massive one. Hope not anyway.

if the existing shareholders provide th cash the business needs don't they name the price surely they will do it at a low valuation to keep the business for themselves. what's to stop them and why wouldn't they

Explains a lot. Despite the negatives (often expressed on the BB) the upside on NKTN remains significant.
The US side is has its first decent contracts (and the market is massive), the European side is doing very well, picking up new and regular contracts.
The funding can be sorted with the very supportive (and long suffering)shareholder base, so i'm not worried about this in terms of funding.
Whether we buy now, or on a dip, I don't know, but the upside is still substantial.
I'm suggesting it will back to IPO place within 12-18 months. Hope so.

The behaviour of the share price is very strange. Presumably there are things going on in the background. Why is the private investor always the last to know?

The ngr was only up because they won more off customers amounts staked were much lower so business is in decline
The amount of money they have to raise is big worry company implies it is looking at converting debt for equity

The trading update shows that net gaming revenue is only up 3% from the previous quarter. I see that there is no mention of profitability anywhere in the update. Considering that the company needs to raise considerably more money soon and is still a long way from breakeven, the company still looks extremely high risk.
