This isn't trade sanctions which are macro economic events this is the advancement of the belt and road in Mozambique with GE and CMEC. The Chinese government would not want to take any steps that would impact negatively on that edict, and again a macro economic event like trade negotiations has no bearing on micro economic events like power gen in Africa. It's not difficult!

No one is ever "locked out" of a share. If some wait for a JDA before buying they are not locked out. They trade potential gain to minimize risk. Those who hold prior to the JDA take the risk of it falling through, being substantially delayed or being poor for shareholders. In taking that risk they will get an increased reward if the JDA is completed and at great terms for NCCL. Also I COULD see the Chinese government dictating an order to Chinese companies to refrain from further deals with American companies while they are percieved as hostile.

Sorry but macro economic trade negotiations have absolutely no bearing on project level micro economic transactions so please stop trying to muddy the waters - unless of course that was a completely naive comment in which case do more research.

All external Chinese investments have to first be run past the government. With this trade war going on, there could be a delay. Things are a bit trumpity bumbity at moment. BCN will be in same situation.

It is frustratingly annoying. The first part of that Rns did state they needed more time, which is fine. Then under the comments section, the non-exec ceo then can’t help himself by stating any moment now which is now exactly 3 weeks on.

I think the directors need a proper lesson in English. What does "any moment"mean. I would say about as short as possible time scale like s few days. Not few weeks as is the current case. They should not give time scales in RNS if they cannot be certsim to sticking to. First it was end of April 2019 then on 29th April it was any mpment
