good point YOga. talk has been that at minimum GE an CMEC will be after 40% each, leaving us with 20%.

but it's difficult to see why GE an CMEC would want to keep us in the picture. have yet to see a convincing reason for us to be kept in the frame in that way.

while we are in meaningful partnership, keeping us in gives too much away as we will get to know every aspect of GE, how they operate, the optimisations, the USP etc. We may be working with them really well but don;t think GE want us to know that much, which is what would happen if we stayed as a partner (ultimately, staff would leave, board members too, taking with them what they have learned about GE, to other places)

but if a take over has got to happen, and if that is what GE and CMEC want, then it has to happen sooner than later , after GE and CMEC have derisked the project through the jda an made us more expensive

my own thoughts for its worth

Completely agree with your take on GEC, TDJ, but the more I think about it the less I can see NCCL bringing to the party once the tariff is agreed. My instinct is that GEC will not be happy with a 30% JV stake when NCCL holds 40%. I guess the same applies to CMEC.So I wouldn't be in the least surprised to see GEC and CMEC make a move on NCCL, for a 50:50 JV. At £26m market cap it's a snip, and it would be easy to slam dunk the market with a good offer.

Looks like a delayed buy in the works and whoever just sold that 100K needs a word with themselves IMO!

I have made many mistakes and I am sure I will make many more. I am not afraid to admit that. I try to give reasons for my points of view and not with the intention of trying to short any share. I have never shorted any share and don't have the type of broker to be able to do it, even if I knew how.As I say, I wish you well and hope that rns is posted first thing tomorrow.

I'm not trying to score points, Daddy Warbucks. Not my style.

I'm just putting down on paper my thoughts about who to listen to, and who not to, at key inflexion points in a share's volatile history, especially at low points where all sorts of hyperbole are thrown around to scare PIs off.

We all make mistakes. I sincerely hope you have learnt from yours. Investing is all about the journey of self-discovery, whilst hoping to make a few bucks along the way.

It is easy to pick out posters at certain times in the life of a company to try and denigrate them. The fact the share price fell from 8p to 2p, showed the markets did not have confidence in the company at that time, never mind posters. The fact that I have also wished clockwork well since our discussions doesn't really matter either does it? Anything for a cheap plus point. These boards are for discussion, both positive and for questioning. I am sorry you need to try to score points at this time. I think we all want everyone to make money and I just hope you haven't put your foot into your mouth too early. It is hoped a deal is just around the corner and the directors are paid off with some of the cash rather than diluting the shareholding of long term holders. We shall see. Nothing is signed yet although it is hoped an rns is published tomorrow morning.I wish you well divmad.

It's revealing to go back in these posts to May 2017 when the Shareholder Loan bombshell struck, and the shares collapsed from 8p to 2p overnight.

So who were the most vocal, and most wrong posters, illuminating everyone with their incessant negativity and "sky has fallen in" mantra?

GE retweeting posts about NCCL, NCCL retweeting GE posts..."No coincidence at all!Specifically, the link is to an article that sums up really well what a few of us have said about GE's recent struggles and why they need projects like Ncondezi as a fundamental part of their turnaround. ------------------"The biggest challenge we face continues to be working through the turnaround of our power business," Chief Executive Officer John Flannery said Friday on a conference call with analysts."------------------The background situation around GE (from their slump to their Alstom purchase, and need to put it to use, and the wider need to rebuild their power division) is ultimately what gave the additional confidence to make NCCL by far my biggest holding. GE haven't necessarily publicised that Africa and emerging market strategy. They've moved quickly behind the scenes to link with China's Belt and Road initiative. CMEC, a Chinese state giant, even listing GE effectively as their biggest partner. Siemens and others seem to be arrived to the scene rather more sluggishly. These moves by everyone have generally been clouded in secrecy. Goes without saying, Mozambique need this. EDM have been tasked with making those connections to the grid. Only 28% of the population connected. And a desire to sell to wider Southern African Development Community too (and they've said they want it too). Even their El Presidente has referred to our plant at Tete being built (which NCCL have tweeted the link to - see second NCCL tweet). But more than the need - though it's obviously critical (i.e. means demand, therefore a market) -having two deadly serious juggernauts as partners is what's moving this, including a hungry GE who want badly a turnaround in their fortunes."
