Question answered - the price was 260p, and they don't like overpaying - in fact normally want a discount.

Institutional buyers will now be expected to further support the price in order to show a profit on the placing, so 300p+ here we come!

Big question is - What price/discount for the placing? Today's rise (against the general market trend) presumably indicates expected over subscription and competition for the available stock (or else there is some very clever manipulation!)
As usual the pi's don't get a look in.

An additional positive is that the rather tenuous hold on its recently acquired position in the 250 index (last noted as being in position 349) should be strengthened by an increased capitalisation.

Sensible acquisition from both strategic and earnings perspectives.Now the "new" team have stabilised and rationalised the company perhaps we see other acquisitions coming.....and ultimately NCC being acquired?

You would have thought so. Lot of noise re Darktrace ownership and lack of clarity re US legal case, but it's still a huge IPO.....not uncommon to cement a sensible acquisition immediately post IPO, and NCC is a good business in a parallel market sector to Darktrace
