Resignation of Director
Nautilus Marine Services PLC (AIM: NAUT), announces that Mikel Faulkner, Chairman of the Company, is stepping down from the board with immediate effect.
As one of the Company's founders, Mikel has dedicated many years of service to the Company and is now retiring in order to spend more time with his family. Mikel will however continue to offer his expertise to the Company in an advisory capacity on an as-needed basis.
The Company is considering various options to strengthen the board including the appointment of an executive replacement for Mikel alongside further Non-Executive appointments. Zac Phillips, an independent Non-Executive director of the Company since 2014, will assume the role of Chairman upon Mikel's retirement.
Zac Phillips, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, commented:
"We cannot thank Mikel enough for his leadership and service to the Company throughout the years. We are grateful for his calm authority and resolve as he steered the Company through its various endeavours over its history. We wish Mikel all the best in his retirement and look forward to making further appointments to the board in the near future."
