07/8/2017 11:29 | MJ19, FWIW, Dividend will be paid 'week next Wednesday' where I would anticipate a share price rise, as it has done on numerous occasions, due to many investors re-investing the final dividend. However, there are a few uncertainties regarding Brexit the energy review and the many Institutional Investors (who can make markets move) who are still on holiday. We are getting close to the 1st Qrt update and thereafter, the run up to the interim results where we should have an indication of how the future strategy is unfolding. IMO the shares are cheap but I can only re-iterate it's IMO and you need to DYOR. I am sorry if this post has not been of any help. | utyinv

03/8/2017 08:24 | "LONDON--The U.K. energy regulator said Thursday that National Grid PLC (NG.LN) will separate its electricity operator system into an independent, wholly-owned company by April 2019, as agreed in January." | bountyhunter

01/8/2017 13:04 | Clever move by selling Gas Distn. Very costly business, labour intensive, draconian regulatory constraints. You would think OFGEM think NG is a charity. Though NG is increasing spend on UK infrastructure there is justification to build the US business even greater, where the regulatory regime is more business friendly. In the US whether Democrat or Republican, either are more switched on than our Government on how to reward business. As for Labour's plans if they get into power to take the country back to the bankrupt 1970's; forget it. Big new Interconnectors jointly owned by NG and Other European Companies will come on-line in 2019 and 2020 and they are on target :)) Just remember even if Labour do take back GSM (SO), the SO business contributes £70million out of a total profit of £2Billion. Currently 50% (prospects of even greater stake) of the business is in the USA , Interconnectors part owned by European Companies. Investments being poured into new innovative technological developments many with other private companies having a stake. DYOR. :)) | utyinv

01/8/2017 08:58 | JP and Gershon acknowledged share price was very depressed at the moment. Interesting comments from Directors and plans in place. Wouldn't be too worried about Corbyn and MacDonnell's nationalisation plans :)) !!! | utyinv
01/8/2017 08:36 | SP doing alright today, scoured the press but no coup from this BB at the AGM reported so presumably JP still in post..... | prewar
31/7/2017 19:52 | Guys do u think this is a buy yet | mj19
28/7/2017 14:00 | Monday AGM! Hope JP has his tin Hat on. As for Sir Peter Gershon (Chairman), I hope his answers don't patronise as they have done in the past, leaving many analysts annoyed and with no option other than to write a poor review. Gershon is also chairman of Tate & Lyle | utyinv

26/7/2017 13:30 | atlantic57 - "Trumps infra structure plans will be an added bonus" But looks like these plans are on the back burner while he fights off the media who are determined to find something to nail him on. Shame because the infrastructure plans, and the tax reforms, would help a lot of companies (and their employees) not just American ones. | losos

26/7/2017 10:07 | yes that's where that 'latest trade' price must come from, but in any case as that was after the close it would not show on the chart which just goes to 16:30 | bountyhunter
26/7/2017 10:05 | Uty - £9.377 was the UT (uncrossing trade) - the spread at that time was 940.0 - 940.2. | skinny
26/7/2017 09:56 | Uty db is a nasty bank but right now a bloody good investment | adejuk
26/7/2017 08:12 | the 'latest price' may reflect a late trade after the close since the chart only goes up to 16:30; you could ask ADVFN on the help thread to confirm if that is the case: | bountyhunter |
