Bounty,

Why does the chart show NG closing at £9.40 but all the stats show it closing at 9.377?

Thanks :)

Don't you just love Deutsche reiterating its sell recommendation with a sell target price of £9.50? Has anyone told them that the price is currently £9.35?

Deutsche is one nasty bank!

Up like a lead balloon! Whoopee! Is that because the International wotsit, .. er .. misery fund, said that UK growth was going to be only 1.7% ?

Apfindley is posting the same advert on many BBs.

This is a BB for those that hold NG stock or to discuss issues that may effect the stock.

UTyINV. They say everything comes to those who only sit and wait!

Hopefully not too soon to say we may have turned the corner.

PO,

Another good post!

If we can see it why can't those working with the Energy Secretary see it too?

If the Gov need help they should be consulting with those in the know, not listening to politicians and consumer groups who always want something for nothing. As for the Greens........let's not go there! I don't usually use expletives!

Isn't it funny that the government puts loads of tax on some hydrocarbons (petrol and alcohol) but wants to force the price down on other hydrocarbons (natural gas, i.e. methane) ?

Doesn't sound like an integrated or coherent policy.

Well said m100, an excellent post and pov, nail on the head.

The greens want this, the greens want that and even if they are very genuine in their beliefs, they don't seem to have any idea of the implications of their demands. Sadly, it looks like they have the ear of May, who simply thinks bills should be lower and the system should be better and more flexible to handle 'new' technology (by magic i suppose).. I'm afraid the influence of engineers in most areas has declined, and the grid's no different.

I would suggest that if you have to sell a house in the Midlands you would probably
have to pay £500,000 more for a similar property in central LOndon.

Also the usual coupling of NG with the the energy companies who are apparently do not operate under the same restrictions as NG.

Biased reporting?

Will this morning's Sp rise last until 4.35pm?

Ignore the type of newspaper just focus on the story:

Dogday, unfortunately imo you, and me, have notionally lost money recently, but i'm afraid you are incorrect in your view that you have been proved correct in your views by the price falling - there are several factors affecting the price more than the consolidation itself (which didn't affect the price one iota).

But, while you seem to want to crow about being correct in your (incorrect) view, then why didn't you act on your view and not lose anything? Seems odd to me thinking 'this is going to plummet, so i'll hang on and lose lots of money'.

absolutely not as the price could have dropped to the same extent or more in any case

just take a look at some of the other utilities, e.g. NG vs UU or CNE
